Dr. Ross Jason Richer, MD

Dr Richer and his staff were professional,kind and showed a genuine interest in me. He explained the procedure and recovery in detail. Wait time for visits and surgery were minimal.

Dr. Richer is wonderful doctor and surgeon. I first came to see him after receiving inadequate care from a prior doctor due to a fall and dislocation of my elbow that left me with a frozen/contracted elbow and unable to complete my everyday necessary tasks. He was very compassionate and informative regarding my situation and instead of jumping right into surgery, he suggested we try alternate treatments to get me back on track. When they did not work, I then opted for surgery and couldn’t be happier with my results. It has taken a very long time, with much aggressive physical therapy, to get me back to my functional state but both Dr. Richer and my therapist, Paul, were always so competent, positive and encouraging throughout and I can’t thank them both enough for their wonderful care in getting to me where I am today. Dr. Richer is a very hands on, caring physician that I feel is not often found these days. I would, without hesitation, highly recommend both he and his therapy… staff at Orthopaedic Specialty Group!

Dr. Richer is a total pro. Excellent communication - informative, reassuring and compassionate. In addition to his strong knowledge and care, he listens patiently and answers all questions. I highly recommend using Dr. Richer and his team.

Dr. Richer was on time, listened, and solved my elbow and wrist problem. He was efficient and friendly, and clearly competent!

Nice, but uninterested, no help, no getting to the root of the problem if doesn't involve serious pain. Very nonchalant as if no big deal. Gave me same suggestion as last visit to an ongoing problem for yearss. He didn't even feel it necessary to dig deeper. He came across as if " I can if you want me to" type thing.

Dr. Richer appears to be a nice guy, but as a prior comment stated; he seemed to be somewhat uninterested in getting to the root of the problem. He gave a vibe as if "oh well, I don't know what else u want me to tell you". "I can make up something to do if it makes you happy" type of thing. He didn't suggest an MRI or anything after years of this problem. He did one or two quick simple things, & was done. Just seemed uninterested due to the problem didnt involve any serious pain at the time. Same Vibe as my last visit with him. Glad others found visit successsful.

I have had lots of hand and wrist issues for years and years; with four carpal tunnel surgeries and more injections than I can count. It took a while to find a hand specialist but thankfully I found Dr. Richer and he was at OSG, where I am already a patient. Dr. Richer is always on time. I know that's a huge deal for many people; not me, but...he is also incredibly knowledgeable. No matter what weird thing I come in with, he immediately knows what's going on and how to fix it or not, sometimes it's best left alone and I appreciate that he is okay with occasionally not doing anything. When something needs to be dealt with, he deals with it, always calmly and gently. He is extremely patient and kind and explains everything he is doing or will be doing. I have been impressed with him since I became his patient several years ago and I am grateful to still have him as one of my doctors. I have a multitude of chronic issues and he understands the complexities of dealing with these… issues. If you need a hand/wrist specialist then I would highly recommend him, without hesitation or reservation. Johanna S Simmel

Both my wife an I have used Dr. Richer. Sometimes issues with orthopedic doctors is that the patient doesn't do what they are supposed to do post op. My wife had a broken wrist it was repaired within 48 hours of her initial visit and it went exactly as he said it would. I have osteoarthritis and he has help me manage the pain. Would highly recommend him.
