I live out of state, I work full time, and I travel often between Md and Philly to look after my mom …My mother, who’s currently hospitalized, is an 82-year-old patient with Dr Song. I was highly disappointed when I recently requested assistance with completing the standard FMLA documents, required by my job, to help provide job security while allowing intermittence time off work while my mother is hospitalized and with general caretaking responsibilities that follow. Surprisingly, they completely undermine the huge effect that family members have just by being physically present, as often as possible, while a loved one is in the hospital and particularly, as it relates to elders. The response that I received from Rebecca felt cold and insensitive. They’re stating that the hospitals care alone should be sufficient.

She was one of the attending physicians while I was in a hospital last year for a long time.
