Dr. Rukshan Azhar, MD

Went to see Dr. Azhar at a time in my life when my mental health was in crisis. I was having a really bad time with being over medicated and emotionally confused. She really listened to me about my concerns with my medications and other events which had occurred in my life. She assured me that I could move forward with living my life with her help. Within a short period of time and medication adjustments I now have a totally different outlook on life and am feeling much better. She also realized that I needed to be in therapy again and made arrangements for me to see a therapist right away. Thank you so much Dr. Azhar for all that you have done for me and also for your patience and kindness.

I am a new patient of Dr. Azhar, the first appointment with her, brought a huge success to my life. I was on the edge of that depressive mode, where I wanted to quit my job. My supervisor was unreasonable, ever day was hard at work. He was holding my promotion, but Dr. Azhar taught me patience and acceptance. By the grace of God my boss got posted to another department. My new supervisor was honest and he liked my work. Good news!! I got promoted eventually. Thank you Dr. Azhar !!!

I am really impressed by Dr. Azhar’s office environment, and patients trust towards her. As I am a physician myself. Dr. Azhar is a physician who is extremely professional in her work. She is so committed, and honest with her patients. Her enthusiasm towards the patient’s condition is extraordinarily amazing. She listens, plans, and let the patient execute it. All her patients seemed happy, and satisfied with her, and also with staff. I wish her success, and congratulate her for her professionalism.

Dr. Azhar is a doctors who understands her patients very well. I have been seeing her for nine months, no psychiatrist understood me that well before. She helped me with long therapeutic sessions, and decreased my medicines. Before that, due to high dosages given by other doctors, I was sleepy, less energetic, and lazy. Now I am active, happy, and stress free. I feel like a free bird with a joyful life. I recommend her to everyone, who is suffering from anxiety, as she listens, understands, and then recommends the best solution.

I really want to share my story, that how Dr. Azhar changed my life completely. As my parents divorced during my teenage, they used to fight and scream a lot. I became very scared and depressed and stopped trusting anyone. Both my parents moved on in their lives but I got stuck in the middle. When I came to my relationship with my husband, as he is always nice and soft but I blamed him fir my miseries. Dr. Azhar taught me to take the charge of my things on my own, and don’t blame others for it. She took off all my negativity, and made me positive by listening to my problems completely. She made me realize that my husband is helping me in all ways, and I should focus on the upbringing of my own parenting, rather than dwelling in the past and forgive all especially my parents. After forgiving my parents, I felt released as all my stress passed away. She is my well- wisher, and now I enjoy my life fully and breath completely. Thank you Dr. Azhar I really appreciate it.

I really like Dr. Azhar as she helped me in my difficult time. Especially, when I lost my job & my husband divorced me. Being a single mom of a 2 month, I was suffering from post traumatic & post natal depression. I lost control of my life, I was not eating, sleeping or socializing. I was completely devastated from my situation and there was no hope left for me. Then she came into my life, slowly I was becoming better. Her sessions were very positive and logical. She added more therapy and some medicine for my mental & physical well-being. She encouraged me to join college & work part-time. She explained how I can give more time and love to my son, as I should be in charge of him. Now I am financially, spiritually and emotionally a very strong woman. I took care of my son very well. I have no words to thank you Dr.Azhar for controlling my teen's anger. My son is a very smart kid but due some bad influenced peer, he stopped studying that led to low grades & bad conduct. I completely lost hope, my relationship with my son was the worst. But when he came to see Dr. Azhar and she listened to her, understood his situation and counseled him. He realized that how those peer wasted him time and used him. He came back to us and apologied for his disrespect. He then started focusing on studies, improved his grades & topped in his MCAT. Now my son is becoming a doctor, I am a prpud mom and all the credit goes to Dr. Azhar.

Dr. Azhar is not a doctor she is a humanitarian. She really helped me with my seizures, she always check doses of all my medicines & monitors me. I have never seen a physician so concerned & helpful. She healed my emotional as well as physical problems, by lowering dosages of medicines, put me on healthy diet & exercise. I believe she is very down to earth and a great humanitarian.

I was so depressed and tried every psychologist, and psychiatrist. But nothing helped me at all. I had OCD which was going worst, none off the therapy or medicine was helping. One of my friend recommended Dr. Azhar, She changed my life completely. She listened to me innumerable thoughts & hallucinations in which I was tangled completely. She counseled me that how I can block my racing thoughts, as they are fake not true. She also put me only in one medicine, before I was addicted to several. She saved my life, she is a healer.
