Dr. Rula Mualla, MD

Dr. Rula Mualla is an otolaryngology-head and neck surgery specialist who earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. She completed her residency training at OHSU Hospitals and Clinics, bringing a decade of experience to her practice. Her specialized training focuses on conditions affecting the ears, nose, throat, and head and neck region.

Dr. Mualla practices at multiple locations throughout Baton Rouge, including Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, and Our Lady of the Lake Voice Center. She treats patients with head and neck cancer, oral cancer, and thyroid nodules. Her expertise includes performing fiberoptic pharyngoscopy to examine the throat and voice box, flexible laryngoscopy for detailed vocal cord evaluation, and coordinating pathology tests for accurate diagnosis.
