Dr. Ruma Sanyal, MD

My parents, my brother and I were patients of Dr. Sanyal for years. Initially she was kind and caring. Later she became rude and nasty. My mother requested for a same day appointment for an urgent matter and her staff said No. In the past, the doctor would say sure you can come today. But with her new staff she’s gotten just as nasty. My parents were turned down for an appointment several times. She also refused to write me a sick note for work even though I was seen by her. The office even decided to stop answering our calls because they have caller ID. Finally my mother got through and had a few choice words with the manager. After that incident, the doctor dropped us all as patients. We received a letter saying that she can no longer be our health care provider. My parents had a great relationship with her in the beginning and then this happened …all because of her staff. Throughout the years, the wait time has always been over an hour and the visit would last no more… than 15 minutes for me. Typically rushed doctor visit. I would recommend finding someone whose staff is kinder and patient and a doctor who can dedicate some time to their patients.

Avoid at all cost. This review is especially for the front desk Bengali lady. She kept me on hold on the phone for over 15 minutes, just to hang up the phone on me. When I called back, she sounded pretty mad! Lady this is your job! I was giving her a name of a prescription that she wouldn’t understand even after spelling it out to her several times. When I asked her if I should call back later to check. She said ‘oh my God, this lady’ and hung up the phone again! I’m a very patient person, and rarely give bad reviews to anyone, but I had only bad experience over here. The doctor will want to do most tests (ultrasound) in her facility, even if you have to wait several weeks, because her technician comes every two weeks. Why not just let your patient to the test from elsewhere if they can do it faster!! I could have totally ignore this if the person at front desk had some manners. She shouldn’t be working there if she can’t handle her job right!

They will do unnecessary tests and waste your time. Seriously no real treatment. No respect, go here if you expect to be treated like a fast food customer not a patient. Strong feeling the positive reviews here are fake if you read them and you’ve been to their office You would know.

I have been going to Dr. Sanyal for a couple of years now and she is an amazing doctor. She is very understanding and listens to all your problems. She will literally stay with you in the room for 30 Min, if she has too. She always knows whats wrong and how to solve the problem. Her staff is also very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Dr. Sanyal and her staff are all I could have hoped for in a medical practitioner. She has been my primary care physician for several years now and has always provided the absolute best care, and I believe, best advice and treatment during every visit and for every issue. If you are looking for a doctor whose medical knowledge is encyclopedic, treats the whole person, and takes the time to be caring even while maintaing a very efficient office, then Dr. Sanyal is someone you should consider visiting.

This has been the most unprofessional medical service I've ever obtained. I was a patient for almost 15 years. I appreciated and respected Dr. Ruma Sanyal, because she speaks my language. But today was beyond enough of her!!! After three months I was called to follow up today on my tests. First, blood pressure machine didnâ??t worked(same as last visit); her assistant decided to add the same numbers as last year result in the system and for blood test staff was clue less??? Second, when Dr. came, I mentioned about my lower legs muscle pain, she was NOT willing to answers my questions, when I asked her to recommend me to chiropractor; her rude response, â?? chiropractors are not allowed to touch legsâ?? ??? Thatâ??s her level of knowledge??? and prescribed old medication in system and forget to prescribe my regular BP medicine and left the room! I was treated rudely and just had enough. I decided to find a doctor closer to my home! It is sad that this physician is so rude and… arrogant and the race for dollars. I strongly request . Dr. Sanyal to take communication classes before she further continue her profession; otherwise, it about a time for her to take retirement and not to mentally torture patients.

After a visit you get call for next appointment 3 weeks later. They call you based on their convineence and If they have time for you. You receive a call in the evening about your next day schedule, above all they don't ask you if you can make it on that day and time but to tell you that you have a next day appointment. it is THEIr POLICY. Have you ever heard about such poor management.What are their walk in office hours, DEPANDS ON DOCTOR'S Schedule, no proper hours.
