Dr. Rumei Yuan, MD

I called to make an appointment to see Dr. Rumei Yuan, and was told the next availability was not for another month or so. That was fine with me so I went ahead and booked. They called me a few days prior to the appointment to confirm. When I arrive for my appointment, they say I have to pay the copay before seeing the doctor. I hand over my credit card and they say they do not accept credit. Cash only. I let the front desk know I don't have any cash with me so they should just send me a bill to my address on file (and also the address associated with my insurance). They respond they DO NOT SEND BILLS AND DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT/ANY ELECTRONIC FORMS OF PAYMENT. This is extremely shady to me. If you are a legitimate medical office, why do you have this stipulation? Even more so, why is this very important billing stipulation not mentioned anywhere? This information should have been told to me during the initial call to set up the appointment or the confirmation call. Anyway, the front… desk staff had the audacity to tell me to go to a nearby ATM to get cash and then come back. The closest ATM for my bank was 0.5 miles away. By the time I walked there, got cash, and returned to the clinic, it was LONG past the time of my scheduled appointment. I was told the people after me were already seeing the doctor so I had to wait. I did not even end up seeing the doctor because I had to leave to return to work. The front desk staff here is incredibly unprofessional and to be honest, I question the legitimacy of this practice. I would not recommend this clinic or this doctor to anyone.

Came here with my dad for his compression of optic nerve. Dr. Yuan gave him a detailed eye examination and referred my dad to another specialist for surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center. She explained that my dad's problem is out of her expertise.

horrible manner, arrogant, waiting for ever! Never again!
