An amazing Dr. with an amazing team

She is a wonderful woman and a great doctor.

She was informative and compassionate before starting chemo, but less helpful in dealing with side effects. Chemo can cause some dangerous situations and needs to be closely monitored. It's not the time for the doctor to lose their compassion and even cancel follow up appointment. It felt like she was only interested in making sure I received chemo and did not value the long term relationship that one needs from their oncologist. Perhaps they are not compensated enough for the follow up?

Dr. Subramanian was very supportive and helpful and even gave me her personal phone number so I can call her with all my issues. She even gave my young son, who was visibly in tears, a lollipop and a tissue. Very sweet and intelligent woman. She certainly knows what she is doing.

Besides being confrontive, she had a strange affect on our last appointment and dropped our care when she would have been more supportive.

I found my experience at San Diego cancer center very pleasant.Dr.SUbramanian was very kind and patiently explained my treatment plan to me.She even gave me her cell phone number for my peace of mind.I highly recommend this office.

I had a very frustrating experience with Dr. Subramanian and the staff at the SD Cancer center. The staff are disorganized and lost my records and then made mistakes with my paperwork including reporting the wrong ICD-9-CM code to my insurance for preauthorization. I was told that I needed expensive lab tests and an MRI (for which I had to pay out of pocket) before I could have a biopsy---which was the reason I was referred to this office by my GP in the first place. Finally, I decided to get my records from the office and see another provider. All my records were given to me, but so were records for another patient! The staff person who gave me the records apologized for not double- checking them beforehand (someone else had created the packet), took back the records, and then double-checked everything. I should have gotten her name---she was the most professional of all the administrative staff I have dealt with in that office.
