Dr. Russell Philip Edwards, MD

I have been using Dr. Edwards for many years. He is very professional and spends a considerable amount of time with you and you definitely do not feel rushed in any way. he always explains things at a level you can understand. He does need to improve the process he uses to contact him for an appointment. The majority of times you call for an appointment you get voice mail and it can take a few days before the administrative staff gets back to you. Primarily because that person also performs other duties.That needs to be fixed with more help..

We went for a first office visit for my 87 yr. old mother who had met Dr. edwards during a hospital stay. Our visit lasted 2 3/4 hrs. He was thorough, patient, took all the time necessary to answer questions and made certain that we understood what was happening and what follow-up was needed. He also made sure that a summary would be sent to any/all physicians necessary that are caring for my mother. We both were obvioulsy very pleased. (P.S. I am an RN and expect the best out of my care-givers.)
