Dr. Russell Patrick Jayne, MD

dr. Jayne is very caring but I find him to be overly cautious. He is too quick to recommend injections in the eye without thinking about the quality of life this will affect. Before submitting myself to these injections I saw three other opthamologists, including his partner at the time, and all three thought the injections were premature.

Dr, Russell P. Jayne performed (2) two detatched retina surgeries on my left eye. After (2) failed attempts, I was told there was nothing else he could do for me..I sought a second opinion, found another surgeon, had another surgery, and now have vision in the affected eye.

Appointment scheduled for 8:50a. It is now 10:50a and I have still not been seen. I understand it takes some time for eyes to fully dilate, however 2 hours is completely unacceptable. Patients are not seen in the order of their appointment time and the staff is unfriendly and rude. The only reason why this doctor received 2 stars is because he is a competent doctor. Dr. Jayne needs to find a larger practice to work with and hire a new staff.

The only negative is the wait time. Each visit takes 2 hours! Dr. Jayne, however, is very nice and spends the time needed to review your condition
