Dr. Russell A Linsky, MD

Dr. Linsky has saved my life TWICE. Yes, the first time he handed me my butt, HOWEVER, I NEEDED to hear what he had to say. What he said was because he cared. Because of Dr. Linsky and his suggestion BACK IN 2012, my family got tested for CAD, and due to HIS suggestion to them about getting tested, two other family members found out they, too, had CAD. I've read some of these reviews, and quite frankly all I can say is suck it up, buttercup! For the person who was complaining about having higher BP while in his office, that happens quite often during office/ER visits and it's called "White Coat Syndrome". To blame Dr. Linsky because you get stressed seeing doctors is ludicrous. I was an EMT for 10 YEARS and I have yet to hear Dr. Linsky say something that wasn't true. He has always been caring, has great communication skills, but he will let anyone know they won't pull the wool over his eyes. He's extremely knowledgeable in his field, and I'm thankful to God Dr. Linsky was… there to save my life - TWICE!

I have just read reviews on this provider and have to agree with all of them. I saw him two or three times in 2012. I was new to COS and needed a cardiologist to follow me. My BP had gone down into the 80's over 60's and that was abnormal for me. He changed my medications and put me on something that made my BP readings stay at 200/90-100 for the six weeks I was on it. I take my own BP at home and my cuff gives accurate readings. I called his office with my continued readings, went to see him and was told to continue with the medication. I may have seen him one more time, but can't be sure. He was arrogant and rude and acted as though he didn't like treating anyone who talked. I have worked around doctors all my adult life and don't take this kind of treatment very well. I thought his decision to allow my BP to stay this high was wrong, so I didn't go back to him and I put myself back on my previous medication. I don't like to go against the advise of a provider, but he was wrong and I… eventually found a new cardiologist. I would not ever recommend this person. I don't know what his problem is, but I don't need him in my life as someone to rely on for my health concerns. He has a lot to learn about people and perhaps medicine as well.

He moved his lips, but said nothing believable. Linsky has been brainwashed into believing DNA doesn't matter. If you believe your genes are not a determinant in your life, this guy is for you, code pink is not. As a mathematician I think there is overwhelming evidence that our fate is greatly determined by our DNA. If I'm wrong I will may not live as long as my family history suggests or I may live longer. If I'm right, I can skip the open-heart surgery he suggested after he read my "normal" EKG. He doesn't understand what "risk" means at even a most basic level. One other concern: I give blood every other month, I check my own blood pressure weekly and recently had three checkups at my primary care and referral facilities (to get a base line for Medicare-primary vs Tricare). Every time it's in the range of 130/65 to 145/85. At Linsky's office - they took it twice and it averaged 190/90. At home an hour later it was 135/80. How is that possible? I don't trust the man, his staff or… the facility.

This was one of the worst experiences ever. I believe that Dr. Linsky is a pill pusher and surgery seeker. He is not up to date on any of the new cardiac information, and he believes that genes have nothing to do with heart health. I would seek another doctor.

Poor bedside manner and I found him very rude. I couldn't wait to get out of the room and schedule an appointment with a doctor who is understanding and listens to the patient.
