Dr. William Alan Flignor, MD

I saw this doctor and he has a horrible bedside manner. Essentially and in fact he blamed me as the culprit for my hypertension. Told me to reduce salt in my diet. Told me my home blood pressure monitoring was inaccurate even though I was showing him the readouts of this machine while taking 4 blood pressure medicines. He denied their validity. I am trying to run down some other information regarding this physician right now and once I have it in hand will write an additional review. I stated I was having chest pain when running and he replied that "I needed to run more" Something is off here. When I visit this doctorI feel like a coal miner in the early 20th century visiting the company doctor complaining of difficulty breathing and he says there is nothing wrong.... meanwhile black lung is in full effect. I have refused all future appointments with him.

He is a horrible physician. He speaks on things he has no knowledge of. For example he questioned my PCM's treatment plans, what my Neurologist had me on and so on. Horrible bedside manner and speaks down and is belittling to patients. He needs to retire and no longer treat patients.

If not for this cardiologist's experience and his knowledge and ability to run appropriate tests, get a stress test done, everything read listened to all of my complaints incuding shortness of breath, pain and heaviness in my chest i most likely would not be writing this review. He then sent me straight to the cath lab where it was determined i had to go directly to surgery. The first cardiologist who was highly recommended to me by one of these web sites and by my secondary ins carrier dismissed my concerns, after much hesitation he had one of his staff do an EKG which he claimed he would call me about later. except to reassure me that i needed to lose weight he did nothing. My daughter who works in a local hospital in admissions became frustrated and insisted i go for another opinion. She called work and The next day i saw Dr Flignor, within two days i was recovering from a triple by pass surgery.

Actually saved my life when I went to him for a 2nd opinion. My pace maker was not stable. My former cardiologist simply had it reset when as Dr Flignor discovered it was infected and needed replacement. I would not be here today if my girlfriend who is a nurse referred me to him.
