Dr. Russell Robert Mcdonald, MD

Dr. Mcdonald does not care about the health of your child/children. He does not listen to your concerns. He can't wait to get done with one patient and move to the next. He gives wrong diagnosis. I regret that I put my children under his care. I learned my lesson through the painful way. Please do not repeat my mistake. Please find some good doctor for your children else where.

He is the best Pediatrician in Plano , very experienced and loving person

Dr. McDonald is as rude and unprofessional as any doctor I have been around. He doesn’t listen to the parents of the patient about symptoms , and is plain out rude. We had another horrible experience with him after the birth of our son. I would not recommend this doctor but rather only request his partner who clearly carries this office.

Seems to be friendly the first time you see him. A couple of visit and a few questions asked showed us his real color. An extremely arrogant person, very much wonder why he opted for this field. I am sure that it is money and not care for children.

I wish I could mark 0 stars. We went to him for an urgent care issue with my 3 year old and I have never been more offended in my life. His beside manner is awful; he manhandled my daughter, was rude and insulting to me and scared my daughter half to death. She and I both left in tears. I can't believe he has a medical degree and works with children. I hear his partner is wonderful but I will never step foot in the practice again.

Well, where to begin. After 3 kids and 12 years of visiting we have decided to move on. First, good luck actually seeing him. You will always get a nurse or an intern. Second, he wasn't able to accurately assess a medical condition in our oldest son. And last, you would think after visiting him for so long, and providing referrals to him when we were much younger and happier with his service, that he would negotiate with us on an outstanding medical bill that occurred b/c I switched jobs. 40% off a strep test...gee thanks for nothing. In summary, I would highly recommend that you look further than this guy and his make money at all cost attitude!

Always on time! Friendly, efficient, and answers all of my questions. Dr. McDonald is a fantastic pediatrician!

We've been going to Dr. McDonald for 7 years and cannot say enough positive things about him and his staff. Dr. McDonald is extremely knowledgeable and very reassuring. He is very straight forward, which is good for me as I tend to be a little over-dramatic, lol. Dr. McDonald always has my children's best interest in mind and is quick to calm and address all my fears and concerns. My three children love to go see him (even when they have to get shots). They take walk-in sick kids and you actually get to see YOUR doctor most of the time, instead of the PA like at some other practices. If you're looking for a pediatrician, this office is the best.

Dr. McDonald is blunt, which I'm guessing is why he has some negative reviews. But this is a good quality from my perspective. Plus, he is friendly, helpful, and reassuring, and he always takes as much time as we need to answer questions.
