Dr. Russell Takeo Migita, MD

Russell T. Migita, MD, is an attending physician and is the Clinical Director of Emergency Services at Seattle Children’s Hospital. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He earned his MD from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He completed his internship, residency and fellowship at the University of Washington.

Dr. Migita is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine and is a PALS provider and instructor. He is a Fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics. His special responsibilities include extensive work in Emergency Department and hospital Continuous Performance Improvement initiatives. Dr. Migita has received the University of Washington Fellow Teaching Award. His research interests include patient safety, quality improvement, and the application of lean manufacturing principles to improve health care delivery and quality.
