Dr. Russell Lee Nelson, MD

Word of mouth is the best way to find the best surgeon. Two people told me of having a very good experience with Dr. Nelson performing their surgeries. I scheduled with him and can now add my relief and delight that I have also had a very positive hip replacement surgery under his care, as well as the program that he uses to prepare his patients at some of the hospitals. Mine took place at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. I am still amazed that I have had so little pain. I thought it might be the new pain medication, but after my prescription ran out, and I wasn’t even using OTC medication, I realized it had to be because of the surgeon. He had informed me ahead of surgery that he uses a different method which does not require cutting the muscles. It has been 3-1/2 months since surgery, and I am doing very well, and strengthening with exercise. Since surgery I have had about four people tell me that they, or an acquaintance of theirs, have also had surgery by Dr. Nelson, and that they… have all had very positive experiences.

Dr Nelson is the best ever and he has great communication skills. He treated my left hip.
