My son was involved in a car accident and was prescribed oxy to relieve his pain. He became dependent on the medication. He was on oxy for years until it became difficult to get. Then he turned to heroin. On Nov 4, 2016 he died from an overdose of heroin laced with fentanyl. It all started with Dr Porenoy

15 years ago, my son was a patient of Dr Portenoy He suffered from chronic pain sustained in an accident He became addicted to the pain killers the doctor prescribed for him When he was informed of the situation, he turned his back on my son, and wouldn't help him in any way He ruined my sons life, as his still suffers from this addiction today Doctor's are supposed to "Do no harm" Shame on you Let this be on your conscious for the rest of your life I wanted to give him a rating of 0, but was unable to do so
