Dr. Russell Neil Radoff, MD

I had a disappointing experience with Dr. Radoff due to the quality of communication and bedside manner I received. During my appointment, I discussed my symptoms, including headaches and brain fog, along with a family history of thyroid and vitamin D deficiencies. I sought an evaluation to determine whether those conditions could be contributing to my symptoms. I did not feel those concerns were meaningfully explored. Instead, the primary recommendation was that I lose 10 pounds. When I requested thyroid and vitamin D testing, Dr. Radoff initially expressed hesitation, stating, in substance, that “more tests provide inaccuracies.” He then used the following analogy: “You have a belly, and if I ordered a pregnancy test, it would come back positive, even though it’s clearly not accurate.” As a male, I found this comparison unnecessary, demeaning, and unrelated to a respectful discussion of my medical concerns. Regardless of the intent, it undermined my confidence that my concerns were… being taken seriously. I fully recognize that physicians must exercise independent medical judgment and may reasonably conclude that certain tests are unnecessary. My concern is not that Dr. Radoff disagreed with my request. Rather, it is that my concerns were addressed in a manner that I found dismissive and inconsistent with the professionalism, empathy, and respect patients should expect during a medical encounter. Respectful communication is a fundamental part of quality patient care. Patients should feel heard, treated with dignity, and able to ask questions without feeling belittled. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I cannot recommend Dr. Radoff based on the care I received.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Radoff’s for over 20 years and he’s just a great doctor. He has a very efficient office as I’ve never waited more than 10 minutes from my scheduled time. He’s very easy to talk to and really listens to what you’re telling him and from that I get a diagnosis that is spot on. I travel quite a ways to see Dr. Radoff but always feel like the trip is worth it. I couldn’t be happier with the informed, professional care I get from him.

Dr. Radoff is the best there is. My visit was filled with his unparalleled professionalism, empathy and kindness. He diagnosed my issue quickly and correctly. Anyone would be fortunate to have him as their doctor. he treated my mother and aunt as well and we have kept it in the family.

Russell is a great doctor for me. He's thorough but approahable, wants to find reasonable (achievable) solutions to deal with some of my chronic medical conditions, and is both open and honest. It takes a lot to get me to write an internet review but every time I visit him I walk away feeling like I've learned something and in better control of my health. I'm extremely pleased with my quality of care.

Dr Radoff is thorough, spends plenty of time in his office & exam room with me, actually takes vitals himself (the nurse does them, as well) and has a great bedside manner. So glad to have found him.

Dr Radhoff was highly professional, easy to speak with and his staff is great. After I was referred to him for a company checkup, I am returning to see him as my internist going forward.
