Dr. Russell Reed Rothenberg, MD

i HAD BEEN SICK FOR OVER 10 YRS WITH WRONG DIAGNOSIS MEDICATIONS ETC. i WEN T TO SEE DR. ROTHENBERG AND IN ONE OFFICE VISIT I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH FIBROMYALGIA. HE WAS ATTENTIVE CARING AND VERY UNDERSTANDING AND OFTEN GAVE MEDICATIONS FOR THE CONDITION BEFORE OTHERS. HE IS HIGHLY EDUCATED AND KNOWS HIS WORK. HE IS A GOOD MAN.. UNFORTUNATELY, HIS IS NOT IN MY INSURANCE PLAN ANY LONGER AND HOPEFULLY HE GOT RID OF SOME OF HIS OFFICE STAFF (OFFICE MANAGER). I WAS A PATIENT FROM 2005-2007 HAD AN ISSUE WITH MANAGER AND THINGS WENT DOWNHILL FROM THERE BUT NOT THE DOCTOR FAULT...IF YOU ARE SICK AND HURTING AND CANT GET PROPER DIAGNISIS OR TREATMENT YOU WILL GET THE BEST FROM THIS DOCTOR. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I HVENT HAD A DR ADDRESS MY SICKNESS IN THIS MANNER SINCE.

Whether you are young or old, he understands how a lot of illnesses can take their toll. He takes time, though his fees are high, but there is value in what he provides. He does sometimes defer to specialists easily-- which is hard since if he is the one seeing the broader picture. He is excellent at rheumatology-related items, but sometimes a bit vague (needs refreshing) on a few other conditions-- but still probably better knowledge broadly than most docs. He is responsive generally and helpful and caring. He is prone to documenting a lot in health reports, and sometimes too much is inferred about medications one is taking (off-label). I really like this doctor, his experience and judgement, and his pragmatic approach. Other docs have later given me the same medications as he did (steroids/ modest painkillers), but they were reluctant to initiate.

Dr. Rothenberg diagnosed my fm in minutes - after five long years of not having an answer to what was wrong with me. Not only that, he reassured me and provided lots of literature on the condition. He is easy to talk to and took the time to explain why my other doctors had missed it to begin with.

I've been seeing Dr. Rothenberg for over 16 years. He's warm, personable, very upbeat, caring, concerned and a good person. He spends all the time with you that you need, and you still get out of there fairly quickly. He shares his many years of experience with problems similar to mine, and I always leave feeling more hopeful. His office manager is extremely pleasant, competent and helpful. If only all doctors were like this.
