Dr. Russell Weed Walker, MD

My dad had been very ill for about a year and many doctors could not find diagnose him with anything. He was moved from Scottsdale Osborn to BNI where Dr. Walker took over my dads case. She was very caring to my dad as well as my family. She went out of her way to make my dad feel comfortable every day that she stopped by to check on him. She had a great bedside manner and was very eager to give him the correct diagnosis.

Dr. Walker is the worst doctor I have ever come into contact with. She was nasty and curt and spent no time with our very disabled son. When he tried to talk to her, she said in front of her doting residents "Stifle it"! We are outraged that she is allowed to continue to practice medicine, without any regard for informed consent, requests for outside consultations, and absolutely not one iota of care and compassion. Her arrogance almost cost us the life of our beloved son, because she wouldn't take the time to consult with a psychiatrist about his psycho pharmacology. Avoid this doctor at all costs!

My father was a patient at St. Joseph's hospital, where Dr. Walker is the head medical director in neurology at Barrows. She has absolutely no bed manners or patience, appears to be completely uncaring, was uninformed as to the patient's condition on most visits, came in with one or more resident doctors and acted as though she was in charge, pompous, almighty. My father has a terminal illness that she announced without any care or preparation, nor would she meet with family members upon request. I think her conduct was abhorrent.

I was in-patient at the BNI hopsital 4 years ago, where Dr. Walker currently works, and she by far had the worst bedside manner I've ever experienced. She was rude to me & my parents when we asked questions regarding my newly discovered condition. Due to her poor attitude & unwillingness to communicate my care while staying at BNI hospital, I will never return.
