Dr. Ruth Margaret Lamprey, MD

My daughter was very ill and we went back to Dr Lamprey and her PA for multiple visits. They said it’s the flu no need to go the ER She ended up seriously ill and in the hospital for months. I should note have listened to them. And Dr Lamprey called once when my daughter was rushed to the hospital and never heard from again. Just Awful Negligent. Don’t go!

Dr. Lamprey listens to what I say, takes time with me and explains everything well. She is very concerned and takes all my problems seriously. She has gotten to know me over the years and treats me based on this knowledge. She is not reluctant to refer me to a specialist when necessary. Dr. Lamprey is always friendly but also very professional and knowledgeable. She is honestly the best doctor I have ever had.

Had a really poor interaction, no bedside manner, misdiagnosed, bad attitude. So many other drs truly care and are more competent.

Had a poor experience, was mis diagnosed, and made to feel like I was bothering her. Maybe not the right line of work for her.

I feel she works hard to figure things out in the 15 minutes she has to see me. I try to not waste her time as I appreciate she works very hard to stay on time. She's smart and efficient. She realizes that our time is important and rarely makes her patients wait. Thankless job and its amazing someone still wants to deal with people like those who left bad reviews.

I have to say that I hate writing negative reviews for anyone, but if you are looking for a Dr. that really cares about how you feel and wants to help you, don't be a patient of Dr. Lamprey's. Poor bed side manner and can also be dismissive. Who knows your body better? You or a Dr. that sees you once a year?

I believe every word of the negative reviews, she should not be a dr. , no bedside manner, She must be miserable in her career, she does have outbursts and a low temperament, look elsewhere, Patient for over 10 years, bet she doesn't even know who I am

My doctor for over 25 years. Last 9 years I suffered with symptoms which forced me to change job position. I have a high tolerance for ridiculousness, so when I suggested labs I was in a great deal of distress, I was dismissed and told to continue toughing it out. Another doctor took a look at my face suggested a blood test which showed my kidneys and liver starting to fail. I was diagnosed with a genetic disease. I will be on Medication the rest of my life. These meds could have saved me years of suffering. The offhanded and patronizing behavior from this MD played on my confidence since brain fog and word finding issues were part of my symptoms. Never said anything to her. She never reached out to me knowing my new diagnosis. Finally made a lateral move in same clinic which speaks volumes. She doesn't care and needs to retire.

I read these reviews before I switched and went to her, and I overlooked the negative reviews. I shouldn't have. When her bedside manner was abrupt and rude, her diagnostic skills dangerous and costly; and her responsiveness pretty much non-existent, I still stuck with her. Until she actually became hostile and angry in an office visit--beyond the pale kind of behavior from a medical 'professional'--I've never experienced anything like it. Seriously, choose someone else.

Dr. Lamprey goes out of her way to make things difficult and seems to dislike her chosen field of work as well as her patients. Very disrespectful.
