Dr. Ruth Dolores Wilson, MD

Takes an interest at first then just milks you for appointment revenue fleecing your insurance company. She also charges a concierge fee which is just another way of maximizing billing. Even with these extra charges the office operation is stuck in the dark ages. Nothing is computerized or recorded with any contemporary technology; just stacks of folders. She primarily handles communications through an inefficient (1980s?) recording machine and you usually swap messages with staff for days and/or weeks. I was a patient for over four years. One such frustration was she continued to require an office visit for a cold sore AFTER she dropped the ball on submitting an accurate prescription. Yes, really, a cold sore . Truly surprising! All this doctor cares about is maximizing her day’s revenue and buying men’s shoes on bluefin.

Dr. Wilson seems to value your time, I never have to wait long to see her and I always feel as though I am not being rushed out so she can see the next patient. I believe that her staff books appointments appropriately and they are extremely courteous and competent. Dr. Wilson is caring and listens to your complaints, treating you with respect.

this is a doctor who respects your time and doesn't keep you waiting, once you are in her office she doesn't rush you out but allows plenty of time to discuss what is going on with you, listens to your symptoms and diagnoses you with accuracy.

I wouldn't recommend going to Dr. Wilson. She and her staff are horrible to deal with and make no effort to even pretend to care. You could get a better result from internet health sites. In general she will tell you to just wait and it will pass. I had a simple problem that got worse from her waiting. When I went to see another DR they asked why I waited so long to get help. There are not good options for Dr in Napa, which is why I think she has any patients.

Doctor Wilson hides behind her rude staff to avoid dealing with patients. She prescribed a medication for my mother that had made her very ill in the past, and insisted that she take it, even after I warned her of the problem. She sabotaged my efforts to get my mother into a skilled nursing facility due to incompetence and laziness in supplying information to the insurance company. My mothered suffered needlessly from severe pain for a week, due to an undiagnosed fracture of the sacrum, because of this doctor's incompetence and lack of concern. Dr. Wilson also refused to speak to me on the phone and made us wait 3 days until a scheduled appointment, which delayed my mother's treatment and prolonged her suffering. Now the doctor is billing my mother for "overseeing her care" in addition to the office visits she has already been paid for!Don't go to this doctor! I have never witnessed such incompetent and uncaring medical care.

I found Dr. Wilson to be unfriendly and stiff. It seemed that she is uncomfortable with herself which projected onto the visit. I personally would not recommend her.

I believe that Dr. Wilson is not responsive to the needs of the patient. I missed 4 days of work due to her inability to provide the correct treatment for me. Her staff could care less about your illness and did not provide correct information.

Although you are not advised at the time you make your appt, you are charged $50 for a missed appt, even if you call. How can this be legitimate? I feel like I was ambushed. I received the bill in the mail with no advance warning. They also do not call you with Lab results. Their policy is to call only if there is a problem. how do you know the lab got your test to process? things get lost! What else aren'ty they telling you? Use at your own risk.

Dr. Wilson is competent and shows empathy. Her nurses are good. Her office staff is not of the same caliber. Can you spell R-U-D-E?
