Dr. Ryan Macke

From my first appointment with Dr Macke I felt confident in his assessment and diagnosis of my medical issues. He took the time to thoroughly explain the issues in a way in which I could understand them and made sure all my questions were answered. He also had the ability to keep things light in the midst of dealing with a complex case. Dr. Macke’s staff is friendly and very efficient. Amanda is wonderful. She is pleasant, helpful and returns phone calls in a timely manner. I am grateful I was referred to Dr. Macke by my gastroenterologist for surgery.

Dr. Ryan Macke and his staff (especially his Nurse Amanda) are just the best. From the very first visit through the surgery and the follow ups, my family and I had no doubt what all of our options were, including every detail about what was planned, the timeframe, and the results. Dr. Macke is very methodical, specific, and detailed when he describes in layman terms the lobectomy procedure that was required. Dr. Macke doesn't just speak to you about the process, he has illustrations and draws on them so that you know exactly what he is communicating to you. On a personal level, I felt as if he was as caring and soft as any of my family members would be. He is the definition of a caring professional. RN Amanda and Dr. Macke are a great team, beautiful human beings. I know I was in good hands.

Excellent experience with Dr Macke and ALL his staff! Dr Macke is such a down to earth, compassionate, easy going, take his time doctor! He explained everything, answered any question, and made sure I understood what he was talking about. Never rushed through an appointment! His RN, Amanda, was very quick to answer my call and get me an answer as soon as she could get ahold of DR Macke. Never waited long! I am so happy I was referred to him. I’d give 10 stars if I could!!

Dr. Macke took all the time I needed to explain the stage of my tumor, the anatomy of the lungs, why he advised removing a lobe instead of a smaller portion, and the method that he intended to use in the surgery. He drew pictures to help my family and I understand and answered all of the questions that we asked. He has a fantastic bedside manner, and even though my procedure was more difficult than he expected, it ultimately was completed without issue and using the less invasive approach that he intended.

Dr Macke and his staff were so kind, caring and efficient when helping me get my hiatal hernia fixed. After being gaslit by other surgeons, I was concerned about seeing Dr Macke but he listened to me, looked at all my imaging and had me scheduled for surgery within a month. Good thing, too, as most of my stomach was by now up in my chest! He and his team, especially his nurse Amanda, made sure I had all the information I’d need (including recipes for the dreaded liquid diet). After the surgery, Dr Macke provided me with pictures of the surgery and explained everything. This was an amazing experience. I highly recommend Dr Macke and his team!

Dr. Macke took all the time that was needed to explain my procedure and put my mind at ease. His staff was always friendly and made sure that all of my questions were answered. The procedure went well and well on my way to feeling better.
