I arrived 15 minutes early and was the ONLY patient waiting to be registered in the waiting room, yet staff didn't start my registration until my appointment time. The provider then refused to see me due to the staff's delay causing me to lose a second appointment that depended on his diagnosis. This has happened twice now. I drove over an hour in 101° heat without AC, only to be turned away through no fault of my own. This clinic is my only affordable option in a medical desert, but I can't keep sacrificing time, health, and hope to be treated like I don't matter. Being low-income doesn't mean we deserve disrespect. We are real people with real needs, not numbers to be discarded. I willl be filing a complaint with the Texas Medical Board. No one should have to choose between mistreatment and going without care.
