Dr. Ryan L Nelson, DO

Dr. Nelson is an excellent surgeon. He did my Carpal Tunnel surgery 10+ years ago on my right hand and I’m scheduled for the same surgery on my left hand. He is the only one trust with the job.

Unfortunately Dr Nelson did my surgery and then I never saw him again. Post op done by his PA, appointments changed twice the day before my appointments because they “scheduled me too early “, front desk phone calls are sent to a recording without a return call. When the staff called to reschedule appointment and I shared frustrations, she started gossiping about me before hanging up the phone. Very unprofessional to me, not a someone I would refer based on my experience.

I live in a small town in Oklahoma and have been battling shoulder issues since my teenage years. My shoulder issues were starting to affect my career as a firefighter and as a parent. I love sports and not being able to play catch w/ my kids was not an option. Dr. Nelson was recommended from a family member. My overall experience was outstanding! Dr. Nelson and his team were great to work with. They went into detail about my surgery and PT and never left me w/ questions unanswered. Dr Nelson operated on my shoulder. Have had very little pain. His office staff is excellent. I have no complaints at all. Excellent doctor.

I’ve had two rotator cuff surgery’s from Dr. Nelson which the first one that was a horrible mess and I was in excruciating pain for over three months and he then says I need to do it all over! He constantly told my husband and me that the therapists tore it up! I had a second surgery with him and it’s been a little over three months again! I I picked up my medical records and everything he told us about my surgery was not in the records and he completely told a bunch of lies about what happened! My husband and I are in our 60’s and we could not believe our ears! This dr. was pretty sure we were thinking about suing the therapists so he completely denied everything he had told us and he had a smirk on his face while denying everything! If you’re expecting an honest doctor and one that has your best interest at heart you won’t get it from him! This has been a nightmare for over seven months plus costly! I hope someone reads this and avoids what we’ve gone through! Cheryl Tucker

Dr nelson is very throughly sand thoughtful

Dr Nelson has been able to fix damage, pain, and lost motion in both of my shoulders that other surgeons has either misdiagnosed or not relieved in the past. I would recommend him and his staff to anyone in need of an orthopedic surgeon.
