Dr. Payne did an exploratory ureter surgery that caused me extreme pain and showed no empathy. He then misdiagnosed my situation and suggested he do another surgery to remove one of my ureters. Dr. Payne spends little time explaining details, and has very few detailed answers to the questions I was encouraged to ask. Accurate diagnosis. Dismal demeanor. Thank goodness he referred me to another, more qualified and better, doctor, by whom I received excellent care. Afterwards, I spoke to several of his past patients, all of whom had poor outcomes.

Dr Payne is amazing at explaining my husband's condition. He made sure we understood everything that was going to take place. He was our second opinion. We couldn't be any happier knowing we found someone that cares. Explaining everything in full detail, where we would understand what is about to take place. Dr Payne is the most honest and compassionate doctor we have ever had.

Very professional, good eye contact, responded appropriately to all questions. Outlined needed care succinctly. Listened well to concerns.

Very condescending when answering questions that I had. Spent maybe two minutes in the exam room after I waited over an hour for him.

I sat in the waiting room for an hour. Then in the patient room for 20 minutes before Dr. Payne came to give me his diagnosis. The staff was rude. The diagnosis was accurate. I had been told by another doctor what was going on, but then referred to a specialist. He was not very nice and laughed at his own jokes. He explained something and then said "Do you understand?" I said, "Not really." and he said "Why not?" He then moved on without explaining it differently. He seemed like he was in a hurry. Very unprofessional. Hope I don't have to go back.
