Dr. Ryan Huy-Thai Phan

My husband has serious glaucoma and is blind on one eye. His Ophthalmologist referred him to Dr. Ryan Phan at Poway office in Sept. 2024. At first we were skeptical because we never in our lives have had any young dr, meaning below 50's. But upon meeting Dr. Phan, we like his bedside manners, his professionalism, his openness to listen to our many questions and provide us with satisfactory answers, He also has a good sense of humor. Dr. Phan recommended for my husband to have laser surgery on the. one better eye he has to help bring down eye pressure. On the day of surgery, he decided to only perform laser on the lower part of the eyejsut to be cautious. If that did not work, the would then recommend the upper part surgery another visit. We were very thrilled that his eye pressure came down quite a bit to the early teens. We are very grateful to Dr. Phan for his expertise. and his caring attitude.
