Dr. Ryan Fouad Rahhal, MD

Father was in hospital for fractured cervical spine. After 4 days he never spoke to a family member and my father could not communicate. After simple MRI my father was in ICU on a ventilator and again he spoke to no one and had a nurse tell us. Communication is vital in pt care, both myself and my brother are medical doctors, I cannot recommend this doctor since he never spoke to either of us

Dr Rahhal was factual in presenting information to me about the extramedullary intradural meningioma between my T10 and T11 level. He honestly answered each and every question I had and allowed time for me to process his answers. He would not give me "maybe's or perhaps" as answers, but told me instead honestly that he did not know and would not know until surgery. He had my surgery scheduled quickly after explaining the risks to me of waiting. the Surgery was completely successful and my healing has been as Dr. Rahhal initially told me. Before surgery I was walking with a cane and walker - and going very slowly. 3 months later I'm on my treadmill putting in 2 miles a night. Subsequent appointments have gone well with information reviewed at each appt. I firmly believe that Dr. Rahhal gave my life back to me.

I went in as a friend. To ask questions. Because my friend was so afraid, he was wonderful, put her at ease, answered all questions, gave all options. And even said. If it was me at your age I would not rush into surgery. Wait and watch. She felt so much better leaving his office. Stress was gone. I wish all doctors were like him

I have never had a doctor talk to me like he did and ask me questions that was none of his business he was rude bad mouthing I'll never go back to him or recommend anyone to him!!! I'd give him a zero star what kind of doctor is this anyway!!!

Am seeing him for a back issue, he is working with me in every way to avoid surgery. He is patient, attentive and even showed me on my tests why I have the pain I do. I like that he spends time with me, answers my questions completely and is so thorough. His staff is so friendly and the wait time is nonexistent!

After waiting an hour, he minimized my complaints and never examined me. He couldn't have been less interested in what I had to say.

This doctor suffers from small man syndrome and naturally his bedside manners suck if you're taller than 5'3". He was supposed to be my 2nd opinion and he quickly motivated me to get a 3rd. He lost his credibility with me after about the 3rd sentence out of his mouth. Be patient and keep looking.

He's very uneducated and isn't nice at all. He bad mouthed another surgeon to me, to me that's very unprofessional!! He basically told me that the nuerosurgeon we had before operated for "fun". He refused to do anything to help, and wouldn't even listen to symptoms. He kept saying they were irrelevant. St Francis made a HUGE mistake keeping this joke! Getting another opinion. Don't waste your time with this guy.

Excellent surgeon, and my surgery worked out well. Very courteous and he had a great office staff. He spoke enough about the surgery and what would take place during the surgery. The surgery went well.

Do not see this doctor for any type of condition. He is not well educated in neurology at all. He spent less than five minutes with me during the visit and told me that the benign tumor in the midline of my brain would not cause headaches and is asymptomatic. This is a complete opposition to the reason I was recommended to see him and opposite of what three other Drs have told me including a doctor from MD Anderson. The appointment was for him to validate or excuse growth in the tumor. He failed to pull up former MRI results to compare with the new testing. His medical expertise given to me was verbatim to a response that was found online. It was from old research. The least he needs to do is stay updated on the latest research if he chooses to use an online source for his opinion of diagnosis. The appointment was a complete waste of time and money. I will now have to get all of my previous testing and present to another Nuerosurgeon to find out if the tumor has had growth. He also… spoke in contradiction to himself stating that he knew nothing about this rare type of tumor and he decided to refer me to another Nuerosurgeon.
