Dr. Shaji Jaffrey Kazi, MD

Dr. Kazi has been my husband’s gastroenterologist for over 10 years. We drive from Lake Havasu City, AZ, which is a three hour drive for Jay to see Dr. Kazi. Dr. Kazi is the most caring and concerned physician I have ever encountered. Dr. Kazi and his assistant, Shannon, are two of the most caring people. Which makes dealing with Jay’s Crohn’s a lot easier. I have recommended Dr. Kazi to many people. Thank you Dr. Kazi for being you. Treating Jay like a friend not just a patient.

I had formally been a ten year patient. On colonoscopy date, did not do a COVID screening at all. No distancing in waiting area. Seats next to each other. Allows strangers, not patients to use restroom. Was 45 minutes late and still wasn’t told when I would be seen, however noticed he was seeing patients in adjacent office when it was colonoscopy day for him. Absolutely unprofessional behavior all around. When having pre-op appt. wouldn’t speak to me, asked the PA who was in front of me, twice ergo my name was, did not do simple example, didn’t speak to me and checked Apple Watch during entire appt. With treating patients simultaneously in adjacent buildings, greed is the first thing I think of. Bottom line, unprofessional, no patient care, no COVID screening upon entering office on TWO occasions.

Horrible. Firstly, the office waited 5 days to tell me I had a c diff. infection. And when they did call, they had a secretary call at 5pm on a Friday after all the drs had left the office, so I couldn’t get any questions answered about it. Then, the office screens your phone calls. They will see you’ve called a few times and start screening your calls and sending them to voicemail and never call back- even though you’re calling about whether to go to the emergency department for GI bleeding. Finally, on another occasion I was scheduled for a colonoscopy by Dr. Kazi, did the horrible prep all night and arrived only to be told by the hospital there “must have been a mix up” and I “wasn’t scheduled for a colonoscopy with anesthesia”. Over the 2 years of seeing this clown, I was put through extensive testing (all to make more money for himself of course) with horrible preps, only to never get a definitive reason for my problems, or any kind of treatment. I was at one point told… it was Crohn’s disease, and he would start treating it with humira but then said he would not be treating it. (What?) Avoid this place at ALL COSTS.

No talk about digestion problems in advance. This was assembly line colonoscopy. No problems, I was told old age constipation and given a $392 prescription. Problems with phone calls, I got a different laxative kit, I had to go into the office to talk about it. Follow up on phone, I'm fine.

Dr. Kazi is very thorough and professional.

I went in for a colonoscopy pre-check and they looked at me, took my blood pressure, and charged me over $300. I have tried to contact them for the last 3 – 4 months to dispute the charge and have not heard back from anyone in their office. I have left voicemails and left messages on the myportal page and have not heard back. Very poor customer service and would not trust them.

The staff very rarely returns phone calls and treatment is confusing when dealing with Dr. Kazi, PA, and staff. Doesn't spend a lot of time discussing treatment options...leaves that to PA and staff.

I found Dr Kazi very professional and informative. He takes his time with patients and you feel very secure!

If you want to go to a doctor that knows his stuff, go to Kazi! He's great and really gets to the route of the problems.

Dr. Kazi is simply the best! Since I began seeing him, I've lost 14 pounds.
