Saimah Talukder, MD, is a gynecologist at WK Pierremont Health Center. She takes time to create long-term bonds with women as she works closely with them throughout different life stages. Dr. Talukder treats infertile couples, recurrent miscarriages, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain and menstrual irregularities. She has a special interest in female sexual disfunction, menopause, hormone replacement therapy, adolescent gynecology and vulvar problems.

Her worldwide education began with a medical degree at University of Dhaka in Bangladesh, followed by an internship at the same institution. She trained in London, England, followed by fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at St. Bartholomew's and The London Hospitals Trust. She did an additional residency at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Talukder is board certified by the United Kingdom’s Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the …American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

When not working with patients, Dr. Talukder enjoys traveling with her husband and daughter. She is an avid theater, music and movie buff. Dr. Talukder is a supporting patron of many local performance establishments in Shreveport-Bossier City.

Dr. Talukder knows all too well that a gynecologist is often a woman’s only primary care provider and does not take that role lightly.?She strives to provide all encompassing and compassionate care, which starts with listening attentively to every client who chooses her as their physician.

What an amazing experience I had with Dr. Talukder! She was the on call doctor when I went into delivery. She was absolutely wonderful. Her disposition is calming and in control. I was very nervous, but felt so much reassurance from her during the entire process. Absolutely amazing doctor!!

I love how Dr. Talukder is very passionate and cares for her patients. She has made my husband and I very comfortable with both pregnancies and both deliveries of our children. She's truly the best doctor in town; I would not go to anyone else but Dr. Talukder.

I've had a few OB-Gyn's in my life but no one that seems to care as much as Dr Talukder. Would highly recommend her to anyone.

I have been to several OBGYNs in town. The real difference is this one is a genuinely nice person! I mean GENUINELY NICE! She is very smart and competent! Her name can be difficult to pronounce.....so I just call her Dr. T. And Dr. T is the BEST!

Being a first time patient in need of a checkup, I was feeling extremely nervous. The staff was very sweet and comforting but I didn't feel as comfortable with Dr. Talukder. I felt like I was just another patient and her responses were well rehearsed rather than sincere care. I felt like when she asked about my sexual history, her response should have been professional but instead, was rather judgmental.

I have recommended her to all of my girlfriends. Her office decor reminds me of a spa. Her staff is friendly and efficient. Dr. Talukder is very caring and compassionate. She took her time with me and completely answered my questions without feeling rushed out. I felt completely at ease with her. I was very impressed with her.

She gave me my c-section with my son and I during my spinal block she was talking to me and it is like it never even happened. She is WONDERFUL!!!! I can't say enough nice things about her. She spent all the time I needed at my check up visit with her. She even took time to look at some pictures on my phone of my son. Just a wonderful woman!

She's not a doctor that hovers around you, sometimes you may not even see her. But she leaves darn good instructions for the nurses to take great care of you. She also makes sure you aren't in ANY pain. She's friendly and very quick paced. I'd certainly recommend her.
