Dr. Salim I. Hawatmeh, MD, FACS

Dr Hawatmeh is personable and direct to the point. We have been going to him for several years and have always been able to get an appointment when needed. He has never suggested any tests that were unnecessary and is always encouraging about my husband’s condition

Dr Salim Hawatmeh is a fine physician. However, the office staff is extremely difficult. His PA hung up on me claiming I was mean to her. What the truth was I had sent in an email explaining the situation in detail, and she told me she read it. Then proceeded to repeat the situation and ignored the solution I put in the email. I was never mean, what I did was while she was repeating the obvious, I did interrupt saying we know this and it is addressed in the email. Also the person at the front desk can be short with patients. The MA does not listen well and there is confusion. Hawatmeh runs a surgical center across the hall and is usually one to one and a half hours late because he is seeing clinic while doing surgery at the same time. I wish I could see him away from his surgical off and away from his rude staff.

It's hard to describe a vasectomy as pleasant, but this one was as smooth and painless as possible. Procedure took no more than 10 minutes, the pain was minimal (seriously!), and the recovery was no big deal. I took it very easy for the first 3 days by following the Dr.'s instructions to the letter, and 10 days later I feel great. I highly recommend Dr. Hawatmeh and his team.

Dr Hawatmeh seems to have a time management and a communication problem. First visit, we were kept waiting for well over an hour without any staff communication as to when we were going to see the doctor. Second visit was for a biopsy, the staff was unprofessional. Third visit, he stated that he would call with test results. He never called. His office staff was supposed to send medical records to another doctor, that doctor never received the medical records. Dr Hawatmeh seems to have a time management and a communication problem.

My name is Richard F. Dean, and I am a 63 year old man who never had a urinary tract infection in my life until I went to see Dr. Salim. He performed a bladder scope after leaving me to wait, half-naked, close to an hour while sitting on an examination table. A few days later, I developed a UTI. He and his assistant, knowing I had mobility issues due to a car accident, left me alone in the exam room following the scope procedure to urinate on the floor (no handheld urinal was provided) and clean myself up after being unnecessarily drenched during the procedure. This is the most unprofessional doctor's office I have every been to. I will not even go in depth to a nurse wiping her runny nose on her sleeve, going into an exam room to find someone else's open urine sample sitting on the counter and a general disregard for their patients' comfort and well-being. When I called to have my records transferred to another urologist, I was told to write them a letter asking for the records to be… transferred. Only upon my request, did they reluctantly agree to send me their standard form for record release - I guess those stamps and envelopes will be put a clinic in the poor house. I called numerous times to discus these issues with the doctor or another representative, but never was granted an audience with anyone. If you are looking for a professionally run doctor's office, keep looking.

I was referred to Dr. Hawatmeh because of a rising PSA level. The doctor was very pleasant professional and accurately diagnosed my condition. He also spent the time required to cover all my options, both positive and negative, in a way that I could understand them.

Doctor Salim Hawatmeh is a very good doctor. We are very pleased. Staff is also very nice.

answered all of my questions to the point of being comfortable about my procedure. showed up on the day of my procedure it was quick and without incident. Dr. explained what he was doing throughout the procedure and asked if i had any questions i would definitley recommend him.

His nurse was rude to start. I was there to talk about my test results and to find out my options she would not except my reason insted put down something completely different. Dr comes in talks about whetever the nurse had put down then tells me to follow him out to the sigh out desk and tells me to have a nice day. Visits over. Did not want to talk about my results that I was asking him as he walked out of the room. Never going back again!
