Don’t let him touch your eyes.

Dr. Hamra's better days are long in the rear view mirror. He should have retired on top, unfortunately ego and the memories of the glory days gone by took the best of him. Just like a punch drunk old boxer, he took the ring one more time, wobbling at the ropes. My surgery was his last, although his last should have been a decade ago. 3 months post-op, I am left with scars, a lob sided chin and nothing but regrets to show for my decision to trust him. Pictures and the look of my face are and will be a testament to his state of mind and hands. I did contact him and his response was: "sh** happens". He has finally retired so he will not hurt anyone else, and can carry on being a legend in his own mind. A.C.

What do I mean? As long as you agree with him all is amazing I dare say. And he is a good plastic surgeon. But as someone said don’t let him touch your eyes is correct in my opinion. I would strongly suggest make sure you have everything you agree upon in writing - in order to be able to back up any differences of opinion you may have e.

Dr. Hamra was recommended to me by my endocrinologist, who I truly respect. My endocrinologist had a family member use Dr. Hamra for facial reconstruction after a sports injury, and his family member had positive results. Dr. Hamra's staff was wonderful and welcoming. However, the outcome of my nose surgery was terrible. I went in for a nasal deviation correction-- part of the procedure was cosmetic to straighten the exterior of my nose and part of it was to correct a deviated septum which had contributed to chronic sinusitis. My post-surgery nose was horrific. Literally, Dr. Hamra took out so much cartilage that my nose collapsed. This means that when I inhaled, my nostrils would mostly close which prevented me from breathing properly through my nose. After a post-op appointment where Dr. Hamra accidentally re-broke my nose (yes, that really happened), I decided to go elsewhere to see why I was not feeling relief from my chronic sinusitis after surgery. The ENT that I… consulted was shocked, and told me that my nose was collapsing and not functioning properly at all. She told me I needed to have another surgery to correct this botched surgery, and she recommended an ENT who specializes in otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery. It looks like some people have had positive experiences with Dr. Hamra, but I wouldn't take the chance. It's really not okay for a plastic surgeon to have an "off" day in the operating room (especially on your face).

Dr. Hamra inspired confidence and made the procedure much easier on me. The type of face lift he normally offers is more advanced than most, who prefer to do a simpler procedure that yields a lesser result.

Dr Hamara did my facelift 19 years ago and it has held up beautifully. In fact, I still look better than when I had the procedure done. I love the total look and results.

Dr. Hamra's facelift technique is proven to maintain a youthful appearance for at least 20 years, and I am living proof. I am as pleased with my "lift" today as I was 20 years ago!! He and his entire staff are friendly and professional.
