A serious documentation issue at this practice resulted in inaccurate information being placed in my child’s medical record—information that had real-world consequences for our family. This was not a simple clerical mistake. It reflected a clear lack of communication and failure to properly engage with a parent regarding their child’s care. Rather than taking responsibility, communicating, or attempting to correct the issue, the practice chose to dismiss us as patients. That decision speaks volumes about their level of accountability and professionalism. Families trust pediatric providers to be thorough, accurate, and communicative. That standard was not met here. If you choose this practice, I strongly encourage you to carefully review your child’s records and be prepared to advocate for yourself.
