Recently my son and I went to see Dr. Spencer as he was recently diagnosed with a bone disease. At our appointment Dr. Spencer repeatedly interrupted my son as he was trying to explain his symptoms and when we would try to talk she would interrupt us. She then went on to imply that my son was abusing his pain medication probably because she wasn’t listening the multiple times we told her about his pain. When I tried to tell her this, she didn’t even acknowledge me and continued to speak over me. She barely asked any questions about his pain history and focused the whole visit on the medication even though we wanted to learn about his condition. After the appointment was over we realized that she gave no comprehensive plan about the future treatment or what the future plan would be. I would not recommend her on my worst enemy and I hope no one will have to leave an appointment as confused and frustrated as we were.

My rule is to get several opinions and thanks to me after seeing her , we got a second opinion , my son won’t need the brace as she said ... huge commitment on his part so happy I followed my intuition.

Dr Spencer gives the best care to my son an we are so fortunate to have such a great doctor

Dr. Spencer spent very little time in the exam room. She did not listen to our concerns, or ask my child questions directly. We had further issues that I messaged her about that were never addressed and our follow up appointment was canceled by the doctor. When they called to reschedule, the secretary was very short with me, as if it were my fault.

Dr spencer is amazing. Very caring, takes her time and very intelligent. She has done a very complex surgery on our son 2x. He is very comfortable going to see her as she will talk to him at a level he can understand.
