Dr. Samer Fathi Hawari, MD

i wouldn't mind having a drink with him... lol! very entertaining and that's just icing on the cake. he is a fine doctor who will listen, spend time with you, give you the meds. what else can you ask for???

Dr. Hawari is an amazing dr. He sees my entire family. My children love him as do I. He is only a phone call away and is there when you need him. I was in the hospital and on his day off he still came to check and see how I was doing. He didn’t just have another associate come and see me.

He takes time to talk with you, makes sure you understand what to do. He is like family, easy to talk to and cares about your concerns. He is the only dr. i will see.

Absolutely LOVE my doctor! He is one of the most caring doctors I've every had. He's been my doctor for over 10 years and I have been absolutely satisfied with his care of me. He takes the time to sit and talk WITH you as well as to you. It doesn't matter how long it takes, he will make sure that you understand EVERYTHING that he has shared. Wouldn't trade him for the world!!

I just had my first appt with Dr. Hawari and I really like him. He took his time, and really listened and offered solutions to my problems. The poster that said he was yelling at a nurse-- I find this hard to believe. My nurse said that all the staff and all of his patients love him. Maybe they had him confused with someone else.

Not long ago I was a patient at Selma, I was walking out and heard this doctor yelling at and trash talking to a nurse. He was so nasty and disrespectful to the nurse. My guess is he does this all of the time. I was glad I was not his patient. Anyone with this kind of anger issue is a problem for everyone. I would not be surprised if other nurses have quit because of him. I will tell my friends to avoid this guy as he really needs help.

My experience with this doctor was not a positive one for several reasons. Since English is his second language, I had to continually ask him to repeat what he was saying so I could hopefully understand him. After he made preparations for a routine procedure he left me unattended, shirtless, in a cool room for over 15 minutes to see another patient ( I later caught a bad cold due to exposure, had to take several days off work and almost had to make another doctor's appointment to cure the cold). His bedside manner is unusual in that he laughs about how he is inflicting "pain" and "torture" on you thinking that such commentary is funny but it really is not. The routine procedure he performed differed sharply from similar procedures performed by other doctors in that he used a maximum incision technique instead of minimum incision. His chosen method not only increased the length of the scar but also the healing time, the possibility of complications/infection and the fees charged as the… larger the incision, the greater the fee. His chosen method also made use of old-style sutures that required another office visit to have them taken out. Although this additional office visit was nine days later, the physician's assistant removing the sutures was so concerned about the possibility of infection that a prescription for antibiotics was provided as the wound remained unhealed. After experiencing this procedure I reviewed his credentials and found that his degree in medicine was from a university in a former Soviet block county in Eastern Europe which may provide an explanation as to why the procedure he performed differed substantially from similar procedures performed from western educated and trained doctors.

Dr Hawari, is great. the office that is another story, they do not know there head from a whole in the ground. Dr. Hawari takes his time, does not give wrong medicaian.
