Dr. Sami Joseph Oweida, MD

I saw Dr. Oneida 23 years ago. He rebuilt my ACL. In 23 years, I’ve had no pain, never felt the weather, could ski and run to the capacity I was able to before my injury. Have had no trouble since the surgery and cannot imagine seeing any other doctor for such a Trumatic repair!

I just had my 2nd knee procedure with Dr.Oweida. First the left knee then the right knee. He is a wonderful caring physician. Non judgmental, down to earth and kind. I had no complications with first surgery and one with my 2nd so far. I would recommend him to anyone needing knee care. I'm an old RN and I know medicine so trust me, he is a good one.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Dr. Sami J. Oweida for the excellent job that he performed with my total knee replacement surgery. As most of us feel, when we are experiencing arthritic pain in our knees, the last thing we want to think about is surgery! We think that hopefully another prescription or an injection of some sort or something will do the trick, this time! After all those options never seemed to take care of the problem, long term, Dr. Oweida, finally convinced me, that if I was ever going to dance again, ever going to ride a bike again, ever going to hike in Montana again, the things that I loved to do, I was going to have to replace this darn knee! He told me, yes, it would be a recovery period, BUT, after that period was over, I would be back to doing the things that I used to do and loved to do with NO PAIN!! I am 62 years old, after five months, I am back to doing all those "things", well, haven't made it to Montana yet! I am back… to taking my Fitness classes and yesterday attended my first Yoga class since the surgery and did just fine. I am so glad that I stepped out on Faith and trusted Dr. Oweida and had the surgery. I am enjoying a level of life that I would not have been able to had I not. If you are wondering why I titled my review "Straight as an Arrow", well, I always worried about what my knee would look like after the surgery. Thanks to Dr. Oweida's Surgical skill and dare I say "craftmanship" my surgical incision sight is as straight as an arrow and barely visible! I appreciate all you did for me Dr. Oweida. Dr. Oweida is one of the best doctors I have dealt with. After being injured at work I went to go see him . He knew exactly what was wrong. I have complete trust in him and would recommend him to everyone. He operated one my left ankle and explained everything very well. He actually cares about his patients and makes sure they are comfortable and follows up even calls you himself. True professional. My wife even went to him for her wrist and thought he was great.

Call Oweida by whatever handle you choose: doc, Sami, whatever... he's a regular guy and not a prima donna. Sami is a pro who is comfortable with his own expertise, pulls no punches, but is willing to go the agressive route if you are. He could make a lot more money if he was was pushy on procedures and meds, but he'd rather let your body heal right and leave the money in your pocket if it is equally or more appropriate for your condition. He has treated me or my family for various things from chronic foot pain, to knee conditions, to a recent rotator cuff surgery, and this doctor knows his way around. I've had far fewer post surgical and pain issues than everyone else had told me to expect and 2.5 months later, I'm back to about 95% mobility and starting to work on strength. Conversely, my much younger and better shape brother was about 5 months till this point with his doctor.Sami also has an incredible professional staff that are more a part of his team rather than just staff. … Sami seems to do continuous training with them so they have a better understanding of what he does and to offer better communication with patients about their conditions.

Unfortunately, I have had multiple incedents requiring an orthopedic doctor and have chosen Dr. Oweida specifically for each. I sincerely feel Dr. Oweida is an excellent practioner, surgeon and a great individual who truly cares about the overall well being of his patients... unlike many in the medical field today. I have and will continue to refer people to him. I want to rate your work 4 stars ...Thanks Sami for your great work

The only thing I can say is,I'm in the process of trying to find me a good Orthopedic special.
