Dr. Samin K. Sharma, MD

Don’t believe all of the positive reviews. There is no care, compassion or bedside manner from him or his team. You barely if at all interact with him before or after your procedure. During your procedure you may not even get Dr Sharma performing it. He will have his attending and fellows doing the procedure unsupervised. These individuals had difficulty in determining what to do nor did they care that they were hurting me during the procedure. You are awake and can see what’s going on. If you speak up for yourself, his team berates and chastises you then gives you sedation to shut you up. I expected better of Dr. Sharma and Mt. Sinai. I have had family members who went to him many years ago, where he and his team were kind and compassionate. Now this place is just like a factory and you are just another patient rolling off an assembly line for them. Shame on Dr Sharma and his team for letting their egos get in the way of making a patient feel comfortable during a stressful procedure.… Be wary of him, his team and Mt. Sinai.

I am a physician MD in practice for over 15 years , after some research found Dr. Sharma, came from out of state and had a complex coronary case done for my sister who did great and had a successful intervention with no complications. Highly inspired and impressed. Keep going Dr. Sharma !

No wording is enough to explain how good he is , I had 2 stents and I was out the same day , he cared how I feel and calm down my family , a great leader of a great well trained team , it is funny to say but I felt I am home Thanx Dr Sharma for a job well done

The guy does ALOT of catheterizations and only works two days a week- he will catheterize anything with a pulse because it pad's his pockets. I was a referral patient from another Cardiac Center on Long Island... Be prepared to be rushed into the Cath lab, without him and his team being prepared and understanding your complete medical history- and then when he is done, for you never to see him again. (His job is the catheterization, pawns the aftercare on other doctors). Dont believe the hype about his great numbers, being a high risk specialist- all those numbers are smoke and mirrors and this man is a witch doctor. Real nice guy- "Sharma the charmer" but the dont expect any real answers when it hits the fan.... This guy is a big money maker for the previously nearly bankrupt hospital. Now as far as mount sinai- understaffed hospital where most of the care is provided by students. Try getting an attending to come to talk to you- what a joke..... They placed a dialysis… catheter in, which ky vascular doctor later told me was the cheapest lowest quality one money could buy. Stay out of this place and stay away from this man- Mt Sinai touts it self as a "big league" hospital, but its a far cry from Columbia, Cornell and NYU.

Gave me catherization - I was scared but he made it feel like a walk in the park!

I was having bad chest pain after walking 1 block. I saw many cardiologists who said they could not help me because my blockages were to "tough". Dr Sharma was able to put stents in and I can now walk as far as I want with no chest pain.

Brusque, humanly uninvolved, directing his fellows with stern directives while you have a catheter in your coronary: "Follow the dye, follow the dye!" I was in obvious pain at the site of the catheter's entrance, never offered a sedative. Though he did inform my cardiologist of the results of the intervention, he never addressed me in any way, shape or form. He is a consumate narcissist that treats patients as if they are the dogs he trained with during catheterization classes. They say he is good. Better than most. Maybe, but he is an animal himself. Never again.

Dr Sharma, left my mother permanently deaf in one ear and with Vertigo which one day in the garden caused her to fall on a small fence that tore open her shin needing a shin-ful of stitches. Not to mention she and my father paid attorney's to lose the case because not ONE person would come forward from Mount Sinai in their defense.Dr Sharma SUCKS!
