Dr Patel is an excellent physician. I was in pain and was recommended to this Dr by my family physician recently. I was hesitant and apprehensive before my first appointment but after speaking with Dr Patel all my anxieties was relieved. He is very professional, patient and kind. All my questions were answered. My first pain injection was perfect. He is definitely worth the wait. He has made my life pain free without surgery. I am able to ride my bicycle for 5 miles three times a week without any pain. I am also in the medical professional field and would highly recommend him to everyone.

Took my wife who has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, she has been thru more chemos and radiation than 99% of humans with resultant chronic pain, and was seeking a consult on alternative pain medications outside of opiods. To initially consult, Dr. insisted, and would not budge on paperwork related to childhood trauma of 45 years prior and would not provide a basic discussion as he was so caught up on simplistic correlative factors that he failed to see the human in front of him while showing no interest in CT scans of calcified tumors. It was more important to have a box checked on childhood sexual abuse, which labels a patient differently between female and male. ...And to compare this stubborn behavior to world class physicians we have seen at Mayo or Fred Hutch in Seattle where physicians thoughtfully engaged their patients... what a waste of time. After a defensive 5 minute dialogue, we agreed there was no purpose in proceeding further, walked out... one of the… worst encounters in my wife’s complex ten year cancer journey. if you need a shot in the knee, go here if its convenient. if you have a complex cancer that requires a thoughtful physician, avoid.

Dr Patel is THE BEST PAIN DOC in Tucson. I was seeing another doc and they did not help at all. I was referred to Dr Patel by my PCP and Dr Patel has helped soo much that I am able to run and bike daily.

I received several treatments from Dr Patel, escalating to nerve ablation, 4 levels in my lower back. I called on several occasions in extreme pain and was told that the doctor does not return phone calls to patients. I was also informed that the procedure should last about a year, maybe more. Six months later I am in more pain then my initial visit and the doctor still won't return my calls. To add insult to injury, no one ever discussed financial arrangements, despite they had to get prior authorization from the insurance company. I was hit with a whopping $3000 bill. I recommend staying clear of this office. Their policies and practices are not transparent, nor do they have the patient's best interest at heart. They just want your money.

Dr. Samir Patel Is an EXCELLENT doctor! I had a very bad experience with another doctor getting injections in my spine. I refused to go back, because it was so painful and only settled my pain for a couple of weeks! A surgeon recommended Dr. Patel. Reluctantly, I made the appointment . I was able to get an appointment right away & His staff is kind & courteous. Dr. Patel spent quite some time with me & my husband, going over my records & explaining the procedure he would be preforming. Less than a week later I went in for the procedure. He made me feel at ease & I totally trusted him, all went well! I have been pain free for almost a week now. If and when I may have to have another injection, I feel confident it will go as well.
