Dr. Samira Pizarro

Samira Pizarro is a licensed clinical social worker. Samira meets each patient where they are in their mental health journey. Working together, patients can accomplish their goals, process pivotal life events, and receive support and encouragement in becoming the best version of themselves. In the session, Samira provides a safe place for patients to discuss important topics in their lives while receiving gentle guidance toward positive well-being and an improved sense of self. Samiras goal is to provoke positive change in her patients.

Samira typically uses a combination of cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, interpersonal, and holistic therapies. She tailors her approach to each patients needs and treats a variety of conditions, including anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, peer relationships, relationship issues, self-esteem, stress, and more. For patients who arent sure what their goals are, she explores that with them. She has worked directly with patients since 2022. …In her spare time, Samira likes playing video games, reading, watching movies, and spending time with family. One fun fact about her is that she once won an Easy Bake Oven in a contest. Samira enjoys working with SohoMD because of the community and collaborative environment that the company strives to build.
