Dr. Samrawit Afeworky Tekle, MD

This new doctor pushed way too far, way too fast on her ideas of weightloss. She suggested that my family of three could live on $100 for food a month as she herself can survive on about $30 .She suggested i could buy all healthy foods easily with that amount of money. I am being treated for an eating disorder. A binge eating disorder,of which the Vyvanse i am taking is no longer working. So instead treating my disorder she thinks dieting and exercise alone will help me get over it. Ive been on the medication for awhile off and on. She didnt discuss increasing the medication as i am on a low dose, or any other medications, or even where to get help for an eating disorder. Meeting with a nutritionist is not the same thing. They just tell you what is healthy to eat and what to cut out. Doesnt help when i starve myself and then gorge. I am ober 300lbs and can hardly walk due to having no cartilage in my knees. Exercise would most certainly have to be aquatic. I am on disability. I cant… afford a pool membership. I feel that i cannot get across to a doctor who simply says you gotta lose weight.
