Dr. Samson Mebrahtu, MD

Do not trust Dr. Mebrahtu. He is dishonest. Used him for Worker's Comp. He ordered a MRI and other tests. He got paid $400 for his deposition but refused to testify on my behalf. The next day after court at my office visit he was rude and uptight. He said I could come back to him in 4 months if I want to. Would you go back to him after being belittled? He never explained the results of the MRI to me. The report does say root nerve damage but he told me he doesn't know what that means. And he's a neurologist? He also refused to address the neuroma caused by injury. To keep this short I found out my dIsk was leaking plus other issues and now I need a back fusion. A year later :(( My question is does this man have a conscious to sleep at night. Run Run Run The sad part is I have excellent normal insurance and the law says I can't use it. Do not trust him. Do not use him. Run Run Run

i will never recommend "Dr" Mebreatu. i went into the office scared about a new development with my chronic illness and looking for help. he immediately cut me off any time i tried to say anything. he was rude. he said he didnt deal with my illness even though i scheduled with him because i was told by staff that he did. his bedside manner left MUCH to be desired. the appointment was quickly over and i walked out of the room in tears because i needed help and couldnt afford another dr appointment ..and he in no way was going to even offer advice LET ALONE help. i was still charged

Called the office two weeks ago with a question after being on hold for 15 minutes I was transferred to the voice mail of the doctor's coordinator and left a message. Still have not gotten call back.

Called me discuss treatment and had to ask me what dose of medication he put me on. I had been having daily headaches for over three months and had to leave repeated messages, including the emergency answering service, and it took days to get a call back.

After being referred to a nuero doctor by my Orthopedic doctor. I saw this doctor. He ordered up hundreds of dollars in testing . The office would not allow me to see the doctor for a follow up for over a month. In addition, they had a medical assistant or a nurse give me the results over the phone. When I inquired with this person what my next step was, they offered no help . Instead I was told I had to wait to see the doctor. Still in Pain, after multiple telephones calls and a written letter, I saw the doctor again. The second time I visited, it was clear he was annoyed to see me. I explained that my pain was still acute. He offered little help and stated that there was little else to do. I asked if he could at least call in an anti-inflammatory med. He said he would. When my pharmacy contacted him about my request, he refused. My next step is to report the office and the doctor to the Medical Society or OPD. I am still in pain and received no benefit from South Shore Nuero in… Patchogue NY. I will never refer anyone there
