I recently had Mohs surgery on my nose after being diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Dr. Book. My first appointment was a consultation, where he took the time to explain exactly what would happen on the day of the procedure and walked me through everything I needed to know about Mohs surgery. That preparation made a huge difference in how comfortable I felt going in. From start to finish on the day of the surgery, he made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. He is clearly highly skilled — I felt a bit of pressure during the surgery but no pain at all, and he made sure to check in and let me know to speak up if I felt any pain at all, so he could keep me as comfortable as possible throughout. The relaxing music playing in the room was a nice touch that helped calm my nerves as well. I also want to thank his wonderful staff, especially his office manager, Beth, who was always prompt and helpful with responses, and the assistants… who supported him during the procedure. What a great patient experience with Dr. Book and his entire team. Starting with ease of scheduling, to the day of my appointment (courtesy call that my appointment would be 15 minutes later and to come 15 minutes later), the level of patient care was great. Arrived for appointment, escorted right into my care room, the intake was expertly and nicely handled, felt very well tended to the entire time I was there. One nurse even held my hand (the sweetest, right?)! and during the procedure, someone from the team checks in on the Dr. and nurse to make sure they're doing okay, too! And ... little free samples, score that bonus :) Highly recommend!

I was referred to Dr. Book by my dermatologist for Mohs surgery. I had a Squamish cell blemish that needed to be removed. Dr. Book’s office was very, prompt, professional and extremely organized. Not only was the doctor very prompt and informative with great “bedside manner”, but he had an excellent staff of nurses that cared for me that were just as vital to my excellent experience at their office. Three years ago I needed MOHS Surgery to remove some Basil Cell from my right ear, my dermatilogist recommended Dr Book for the proceedure. I was a bit of a drive for me, but I must say it was a good pick, he did a flawless job. So this year when I needed more Basil Cell removed from the other side of my face, of course I went back to Dr Book. Again he performed similar magic, and took care of a couple of ugly blemishes too. I had a basal cell carcinoma removed from my cheek by Dr. Book. It was quick and painless, and the wound healed within days, as he said it would. I am grateful to him and his staff.
