Dr. Samuel Kangwook Cho, MD

I saw him for just a few minutes, the consultation was done by his physician assistant Mark Henry. It was the first consultation when normally it is the doctor who is doing all medical investigation. He billed my insurance for this consultation $660!

On my first visit he spent five minutes with me, on the second 10. On my second visit he didn't know anything about my case I have to explain and inform him again. I didn't fill in any questionnaire regarding my health, I wasn't asked to bring any reports/notes from other doctors. What else should I say than I will never go back.

Terrible stafff and awful service! When I showed up 10 minutes before my appointment, the receptionist told me that my appointment was cancelled by the staff and the doctor was gone for the day. Upon my request, the staff came out to see me, but she was very rude and told me that she called me three times and left me a voicemail to see if I can come in earlier since the doctor needs to leave early. I told her that I did not receive any voicemail and had one missed call. Then, she said that it is my phone issue and I need to check with my phone service provider. This was ridiculous and I will never go back to this doctor and this office - mount sinai. This was the worse Basically she wasThis comment made me really upset. Dr Cho took the time to listen to me being I was one of two people too ever have a peek allergy love him and his staff they gave me back my life I would tell everyone too go see him :)

Very professional and honest

Six weeks ago Dr. Samuel Cho performed cervical spine surgery on my neck for multiple herniated discs. I would like to share my experience with you if you are contemplating having this procedure done.I had experienced neck and upper back pain for many years. This past year the pain in my back became acute and I began to experience numbness and pain all the way to the fingertips of my right hand. My primary physician suggested I see Dr. Cho. From the x-rays, MRI, and conversations with Dr. Cho, it appeared to me to be a very complex and delicate procedure. Dr. Chos calm demeanor, his thorough and systematic diagnosis, and confidence as a surgeon allowed me to make the decision to go ahead with the surgery. From pre-surgery to leaving the hospital after an overnight stay, Dr. Cho, his staff, and Mount Sinai Hospital staff were extremely professional in caring for me. And Dr. Cho has been there for me throughout the past six weeks. To me, surgery was 100% successful and all my nerve pain… is gone. But dont think you will be totally pain free. I still had to deal with post-surgery pain and discomfort. I wore a neck brace for six weeks. During the first few days I could hardly swallow without some pain. Any fast movements elicited a sharp pain in my back. I realized it was going to take a little more time before I feel fully recovered. But over the course of six weeks I began to feel better overall and was experiencing less pain. I have lost some weight and I felt weak. But it feels absolutely great to be free of the constant numbness and nerve pain I had experienced for so many years. I was very fortunate to have been recommended to Dr. Cho. If you are deciding whether to have this type of surgical procedure, I highly recommend Dr. Cho, a brilliant, confident and caring surgeon.
