I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough to warn others. I canceled an appointment and was billed for it anyway. When I contacted the office to point out the error, nobody seemed interested in addressing the issue or even investigating what happened. Instead of resolving a straightforward billing concern, I was met with indifference and excuses. What became clear is that the office staff appears to understand only insurance-based billing and procedures. As a cash-pay patient, I felt like I was being forced into policies and protocols designed for insurance companies rather than being treated according to my actual circumstances. The billing decisions seemed disconnected from both the patient and the physician and driven entirely by rigid administrative rules. The lack of accountability was the most frustrating part. Mistakes happen, but refusing to acknowledge or correct them is unacceptable. If you are a self-pay patient, be prepared for confusion,… billing issues, and a staff that may not understand how to properly handle cash-paying patients. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice.

I had a very bad experience with Dr Del Rio. He did surgery to repair a vaginal prolapse which was unsuccessful. I am forced to have another prolapse surgery to correct the issue. His bedside manners were very bad. He would not accept that he didn't fix my problem. I agreed to hysterectomy because he said it would be better for fixing prolapse. Unfortunately after consulting with other doctors it turns out that hysterectomy was completely unnecessary. Most doctors don't do hysterectomy to fix prolapse. I am so happy that I found a great doctor to redo surgery the correct way. I am so upset that I have to go through this again. If you have a prolapse, I would NOT recommend Dr Del Rio at all.

I was referred to Dr. Del Rio for an incontinence issue 05.28.2019. I was very impressed by his thoroughness, and professionalism. What tipped the scales for a 5 star review was the fact, he checked to see what insurance I had, then researched to find an Rx for my condition that insurance would pay for. I will go to him again, in 4 weeks for a follow-up appointment, and will recommend him highly!

Dr. Del Rio is a well trained, skilled gynecological surgeon who performed a life-saving procedure on me. He is academic, accessible, respectful and takes the time to explain options clearly. Brevard County is fortunate to have such a superstar physician in practice here. I would recommend him without reservation.

No matter which phone # you call you get a message that it will take 1-2 days before anyone will get back with you. That is unacceptable, especially for someone who is experiencing bleeding after a procedure like myself. Also on-call Doctors never returned my two weekend phonecalls.

Dr Del Rio,I have been you patient now for 2 1/2 years. You are a great dr, but have to let you know I spent an hour in your office today to get a Depo injection from your nurse. this normally takes 5 minutes. I realize things happen, but an hour???? Are things ok there?

I am really impressed with Dr. Del Rio's professionalism and his willingness to take the time to research alternate options. I feel fortunate to have him as my gynecologist.

I think he is very professional, caring, and cures my problems. Plus, he has a terrific sense of humor.
