Dr. Samuel W. Downing V, MD

This doctor saw my dad for an extended period. He not only cut him off his normally prescribed medicines for sleep, but added highly toxic drugs for the elderly (strong anticholenergics). On top of that, he reported neglect with my father, which the state closed the case of seeing it was nonsense. My father has not recovered since his stay with this person. I call it reckless disregard in my opinion, at a minimum, and should my father not recover, I intend to file suit against him personally. Absolutely shameful people like this can practice on the elderly (and that’s exactly what they do, practice medicine).

As it says don’t question him or he will ABANDON you. Believe me I know because that’s what he did to ME!??

I havent seen a doctor like this , since my childhood in a small town. Listens, sympathetic, does everything to help the patient. We need more doctors with Dr Downing's bedside manner.

One of if not "The Best" Doctor in the Prescott area. He is a legend in this area, people actually cry when he leaves as they did at Samaritan, that is how much he is loved. Not only is his bedside manner excellent, his relationship with nurses and personnel he works with is amazing, and of course his patients love him. Did I forget to mention (it goes without saying really) his extensive knowledge in his profession? I don't think they make Doctors like him anymore, but there must be a few around somewhere!
