Dr. Samuel Alvin Seiavitch, MD

I am late in writing this review, but Dr S saved my life in 2010. I was experiencing what I thought were change of life symptoms. Dr. S remembered that I had had a polyp surgically removed from my colon in 1999 and recommended a CA125 and a vaginal sonogram. He said "polyps grow other places besides your colon". Long story short, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 ovarian cancer. I am alive and well 8 years later because Dr. S left no stone upturned. He may be considered a little unconventional, but so what! I love this man.

I have the utmost confidence in Dr Seiavitch. I think he has the knowledge and experience to help with any issue you may be dealing with. He also has colleagues that work with him that are A+. I'm very happy with his care.

I have been going to his practice for 8 years now. I have been seen by two of his colleagues there in previous visits and this was my first visit with him due to needing to be seen right away to implant an IUD. While he was friendly, he was too talkative. I guess some patients like it when a gynecologist tries to "distract" you with jokes to make you feel comfortable, but I found it to be totally overbearing and unprofessional. He talked over me and constantly interrupted when I was answering his questions. When I brought up my concerns, he was dismissive. I did not appreciate the constant barrage of inappropriate jokes about my husband. Even putting a aside his unique personality, I feel like he does not listen to his patients, which is an essential part of being a good physician. I would not recommend him to patients who want to have a mature conversation with their doctor.

I have been going to Dr Seiavitch for 34 years and he is wonderful. He is very thorough and compassionate.

While I can see how Dr. Seiavitch can come across as a little pompous and cold, I think that comes with the years of expertise and a his sort of "cut to the chase" approach. He clearly knows what he's talking about, and I trust his judgment. Will he make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? No. But will he provide you with expert care? Yes.

Dr. Seiavitch delivered my daughter 30 years ago and was devoted to encourage me to have the perseverence to push my daughter out. At that time, doctors could deliver breach babies. I thank God that is who I had to deliver Lauran. I highly recommend Dr. Seiavitch.

I've been with Sammy Seiavitch for many years, most notably the births of my sons. You spend a lot of time with your OB, during pregnancy, which can become monotonous. I actually look forward to my visits. If you have a good sense of humor, this is your guy. He keeps it light, but is also straight up. He doesn't mince words, keeps you informed, and ensures proper expectations. He's encouraging as well. When I wanted to have a natural drug-free birth, his words to me were "if anybody can do it, I know you can, and you will." So refreshing, compared to what most OB's in this area tell their patients. I seriously hate the idea that he will retire one day....

Dr. Seiavitch and his staff were very kind and helped me with my endo when no other gyne in the area would give me the treatment that I needed. With his help, I achieved almost total remission.

Dr. Seiavitch is an excellent, knowledgeable, and caring doctor. He spends the necessary time with each patient and truly cares about you and your baby's well being. There is always a wait at the office, but that is because he is taking the necessary time with each patient. I would much rather wait for him than go to a cookie cutter office. The office staff are also amazing.

Not a good sense of humor. Crude sense of humor. Too talkative. Couldnt get a word in. Treated me un educated. Not professional.
