Dr. Stoleru was very caring and professional. The office staff was friendly and efficient. I would recommend them to all my friends.

The best service in the city. I have seen many eye doctors for my problems and this is by far the best place. The front staff is efficient and nice. The doctors are extremely caring and experienced. They take care of the most difficult problems and perform complex surgery. If you need an eye specialist this is the place to go!

I had a HORRIBLE experience with Dr. Stoleru's office staff. I found them to be very unprofessional and lacking client customer service. They did not care about 1.5 hours I spent waiting to be seen by Dr. Stoleru because they wanted to verify my insurance information before I saw him. Furthermore, I was there to get my eyes checked and for a contact lens fitting. I have two insurances, one medical insurance, and the other that I have that covers contact-lens related visits (EyeMed). I have had EyeMed for several years and know how this works. Dr. Stoleru's staff insisted that EyeMed would not cover my contact lens visit, and would NOT give me the prescription that the Doctor prescribed unless I paid $225. I checked with EyeMed and they would have covered the full amount plus a six months of contact lenses. The lack of responsibility on their part to obtain accurate information from EyeMed caused me to take another 1/2 day off of work, and delayed me getting an updated prescription… until the next appointment, which was several weeks later. At the second appointment, due to metro delays, I was ten minutes late, and the receptionist refused to tell the Dr. that I was waiting for him, forbidding me to see him due to my tardiness. This was ridiculous considering that I had waited 1.5 hours on the first visit to see him and the reason for scheduling the second visit was due to their irresponsability of following up with the insurance on my coverage, and just telling me that I had to pay over $200 if I wanted a contact lens prescription.Summary of experience: Dr. Stoleru's staff are rude, irresponsible, unorganized, and don't care about the customer. Dr. Stoleru is a nice man, but doesn't seem to care about the patient experience, and wouldn't even step up to the desk to see me on the second visit, even after he was notified that I requested to speak with him.Final note: Don't waste your time becoming a patient of Dr. Stoleru's. The visits were a waste of time for me because I waiting around for 1.5 hours, had to call my insurance company and ensure that Dr. Stoleru's office received my insurance benefits, took off of work for my second appt only to have them cancel my visit. All of this, and they wouldn't give me my new prescription.
