Sam Taylon, MD, FAANS, is an experienced, Board-certified neurosurgeon with AdventHealth Medical Group Neurosurgery at Shawnee Mission. He provides care across the full spectrum of neurological surgery with particular expertise in complex and reconstructive spine.Among Dr. Taylon's honors for clinical and surgical excellence, he was named 2022 Top Neurosurgeon by America's Top Doctors.After rounding out his NCAA Division 1 soccer career at Loyola University Chicago, Dr. Taylon went on to Creighton University School of Medicine to earn his medical degree. He then completed a residency in neurosurgery, including service as chief resident, at the Medical University of South Carolina, followed by a complex and reconstructive spine fellowship at Johns Hopkins University.
