Dr. Wiest has amazing bedside manner and gives the impression he deeply cares about the patient. That combined with his experience and knowledge makes him a true asset to our community.

I spent over 4 hours in the waiting room of mission er to be taken back to wait on the doctor who looked at my past history and diagnosed me with no testing, no blood work, no urine, and no MRI. Was then referred to a specialist who needed the MRI before I could be seen. Had to pay a separate charge to have an MRI when I should have had it done while in the Er.

I recently was admitted to the ER at Mission after having numbness, disorientation, and difficulty talking. The EMS techs took my blood pressure at the time which was off the charts and found it necessary to transport me to the hospital. After about 4 hours of being in the ER, getting blood work done, checking vitals, Doctor Wiess saw me for a grand total of 5 minutes, not including the interruption from a more important phone call that required him to leave the room. The diagnosis was "fainting" and rest was recommended. Even though we made it clear there was a history of seizures and migraines, no recommendations for a CT or MRI scan. He was in such a hurry to discharge me, it was ridiculous. Following day, back on the ambulance with the same symptoms, except much worse. EMTs once again deemed it necessary to be transported to the ER via ambulance. Now another day at Mission, only this time we are actually getting an MRI. This whole business of doctors making assumptions… without any testing is unacceptable, especially knowing the patients background. Now we must face bills for two ambulance rides, ER visits, and hope nothing more serious did not occur as a result of this negligence.
