Dr. Samuel Richard Williams, MD

I would never recommend this office to anyone after the way my family and I were treated during this crisis. Here is my direct email to them (of course with no response, just like my calls and messages): It truly saddens me to have to write this email and take these steps, however, the way that my family has been treated by your office and staff during this global pandemic is unacceptable. Last week, I received a discharge form from your office stating that we were being dismissed due to missed appointments. However, I have given this office over a year of my business, and also referred 2 of my co-workers who are currently attending this office with their children (and they will be unenrolling). It is unfathomable to me that an office would dismiss infants in the middle of a global pandemic. Yes, we have missed appointments, as I am the caretaker of 4 children and an elder and this pandemic has caused a variety of inconveniences for us, including childcare and transportation. I cannot… believe that we would not receive grace and compassion from our pediatrician, of all people. Not once was I warned or “received a letter” (as the office manager Carolyn said I should have received) stating that we could be discharged if we missed another appointment. That is protocol at every other establishment I have frequented, and apparently at your establishment as well, however, it was not followed. Also, it states on your website policy that missed appointments will result in a fee, NOT in a dismissal. We were never charged a fee either. If you all are not following your own policy, how is it my fault as a patient? To add insult to injury, when I called you all to gain clarity on the situation, I was met with your office manager who was unprofessional, rude, and sarcastic. She did nothing on the phone but reiterate 7 times that we were dismissed, the decision was final, and “it’s my job to figure out what to do next”. How dare an office manger speak to a client that way? Then when I came in person, Carolyn was way more humble, but still problematic because she was dismissive as if my voice no longer mattered. I am a firm believer in your employees are a direct representation of your business and if that is the face of your business, I am glad that my family has already enrolled with another office. As an educational leader, if I ever spoke to or treated my students/families how we have been treated during this crisis, I would be out of a job. The main reason why I signed my family up is because your establishment is black-owned, but with this treatment, I cannot tell. All in all, I am disgusted by how this entire situation was handled and I will be filing a complaint with the Maryland Board of Physicians, the Better Business Bureau, as well as leaving reviews about my experience of all of my social media platforms and medical review platforms. I believe that this is necessary as I could not even be given a telephone conversation or any follow-up from you both during such a troubling incident with your staff member, but got tons of conversation when I was paying my money to you all. Hopefully I will prevent another family from being treated so horribly during such turbulent times in this country. I stand by the fact that no employee should treat a patient in the manner I was treated OR become upset at the reaction from the patient for such uncouth behavior.

I was having an intestinal problem., but I never told anyone about it. I was too embarrassed. Then, I went to see Dr. Williams. He has been my doctor since birth and now I am 25 years old. .He really listened to me and come up with a treatment plan. In one month, a problems that I had been having for 6 months was gone. I love that fact that his practice see young adults. He does my Gyn exams and Well exams.

I have some serious medical problems. Dr. Williams takes the time to help me and he really crew about me. I highly recommend him. I am so happy that he sees young adults in addition to the pediatrics,.

Recently delivered my first child, a baby girl. The visit to the office was great. He gave me a gift bag with many items I would need including a book about the first year of my baby's life. He was friendly and very knowledgable. We highly recommend Dr. Williams.

Friendly physician. Very knowledgeable. My seven-year-old girl who is usually very nervous around people was very comfortable.

Excellent, caring doctor.. I feel so comfortable with him because as a 23 year old woman, I can share my concerns with him that I can't share with anyone else. He really listens and really understands me and gives me great advice. I never want to leave his practice.

Great doctor. My whole family loves him.

What can I say? He is smart, has an excellent sense of humor, and is an Excellent Teacher. He really takes the time to explain things to me. He never makes feel stupid when I ask a question. I know he trained at Johns Hopkins, but he doesn' t act " like a know it all" type of Doctor like some of the others I have met.

My family is quite pleased with Dr. Williams and his partner, Dr.Petit. (Who also happens to be his daughter). Dr. Williams has cared for my daughter for 21 years now. She was elated, and so was I, when he expanded his practice to young adults. The staff is friendly and I can get get an appointment with ease.I highly recommend Dr. Williams and his practicein Catonsville, Maryland.

We live in Pennsylvania now, but we still bring our children to Dr. Williams. My 4 children love him and I am quite pleased with his services..so I pack up the kids and travel to see "Doctor Sam" and I also get a chance to see my mother.
