Dr. San San Wai, MD

Dr San Wai is been my Dr for 25 Years and now my daughters too she is such a good Dr she is always nice with a smile and remembers your name she takes the time to Review all her notes and always seat to ask you how you feeling she has many patients ,sometimes I have to wait a little longer, but is all worth it I am happy that there's still Doctors like her

If I could give a 0, I would. I made an appt to get a specific vaccine. When I got there they didn’t have it but still charged me $150 for the “consultation.” Very dishonest and when I called to speak to the office manager, I kept getting put on hold indefinitely!!

Whenever I go to her, I have to wait in the front waiting area for at least 30-45 minutes and then they take you to the exam room and you wait another 30-45 minutes.

Dr San Wai is a very nice doctor but the receptionist & the staff are a different story. The receptionist is so unfriendly and unhelpful. He has no customer service skills at all. He will not go out of his way to help a patient and is not knowledgeable.

Working adult? RUN. Whatever time you give up to see them will be wasted. IF you can break the barrier of the unresponsive staff that never answers the phone or responds to messages, you might get an appointment in a week+. Generally, when coming to this office, when signing the sheet for JUST Dr. Wai, (there's a different sheet for each doctor), you will find that at least 4 other people had an appointment with her at the exact same time. You'll wait at least an hour to be called in to see her, and when you get there, I challenge you to try to get 5 minutes of her time. She's perpetually in a rush, despite how patient you were expected to be, and doesn't seem incredibly knowledgeable about anything you bring up. Many times, you'll be cut off from explaining what's wrong, given a prescription and all but pushed out so she can deal with the other handful of people who had an appointment scheduled at the exact same time as you. If there's an ongoing problem and whatever quick… fixes she bothered to give didn't work, you'll be forgotten, and if you try to come back you'll be given even less time and taken even less seriously. She's not mean about it, but she's definitely got better things to do than deal with you.

Dr Wai is great. But, her staff is awful! God forbid you need a prescription filled. After I call my Pharmacy I usually alway have to call the Dr's office and try to get someone on the line who will follow through. The answering machine is usually on. Don't bother leaving a message, just keep calling. I guess she is trying to save money. But, if she hired professionals to man the phones she'd have a great practice. She must not know how annoying it is for her Patients.

Dr. Wai is a kind, compassionate doctor who actually listens to your concerns and takes appropriate action on your concerns. I am glad I found her.

I'm very fortunate to have found Dr. Wai. She's very thorough, caring and her bedside manner is good also. Very pro-active in taking care of the patient's overall health. I will definitely recommend her to others.
