An asthmatic for more than 20 years, I’ve gone up-and-down with this chronic disease. In the past seven years or so, my lung airways worsened and breathing became increasingly difficult necessitating heavier medications more often than not. At my first few appointments, Dr Bansal promised that he would help. A man of his word, I became a candidate in the Bronchial Thermoplasty clinical study with Dr Bansal performing the three surgeries at The Lung Center in DuBois. Dr Bansal and his office and nursing staff provided me with all the intimate information concerning the procedures that were to follow. During the surgeries, I was treated with extreme care and respect from pre-op to post-op. A caring and professional doctor, I could not be more pleased with the care he has extended to improve my health. I can now climb a set of stairs without getting out of breath. Not only would I recommend Dr Bansal to anyone with pulmonary conditions, I would insist on it. He is one in a million.

I have always been very skeptical when it comes to new doctors, especially any kind of specialty doctor. It seems I have always left a doctor office feeling like I was no further ahead and still with unanswered questions. But Dr. Bansal really seems to have genuine concern and never seemed to be in a hurry to rush out and onto the next patient. It was very nice. After hearing rave reviews about Dr. Bansal from a family friend, I decided to write one of my own. My lung cancer was the most difficult thing I ever had to deal with, but Dr. Bansal and his staff helped me at every step, starting from diagnosis to the surgery. His appointments were booked two months out, but he agreed to see me next day after I called his office, I had to wait for little bit longer than expected for the scheduled patients to be seen first. With his help I quit smoking after 40 years of two packs a day. Bronchoscopy was a smooth experience, he told me the diagnosis on the same day, had surgery with in a week. Great experience overall, I would definitely recommend Dr. Bansal to others.
